Introduction:

Every color of the rainbow and more are here and kept distinctly sorted.  Looking like a series of colorful rectangular sections of sand, this part of Inisfree’s lower desert plays host to some of the city’s jamborees (gatherings of off-road vehicles, such as the classic Jeeps).  At night, something causes this stretch of desert to subtly and romantically glow from within, all of the colors just as distinct as they are during the days.

Novels Excerpt:

This desert they had entered started with two miles of colored sand extending off from both shoulders of the highway. For a quarter mile in both directions, each rectangular area of sand had its own distinct color from the others. From where they entered, it started with normal-colored sand, followed by very yellow sand, to orange, red, pink, lavender, purple, black, storm-gray, dark-blue, dim-blue, medium-blue, light-blue, pale-blue, lime-green, olive-drab, and finally a light-tan at the far-end of the desert. It was plain to see why this area was also known as the Rainbow Desert.

History:

Starting in 2022, High King Auz began ‘christening’ each of the halves (on either side of the G.A.H. here) of each area/color of sand.  That is 32 parts of this low desert.  He is anticipating having all of them ‘christened’ at least once by year’s end.

“Sandstorm” is one of the first of his wives he brought here.
