Patents and patents-pending also include those for each of the crops and landscaping plant species grown and stored in our city; Inisfree holds the genetic patents for each of the plant varieties listed on the Cropland webpage. This includes the bioluminescent plants in the cave annexes. The reason these are all patented is so that they may only be used by outsiders for the consumption of their fruits and other produce; so that samples of them may not be taken and misused, such as by genetic modification in order to make them more controllable and less long-lived, as has occurred due to the unethical conduct of many companies in other lands.
Genetic patents and patents-pending include those for animals, as well; to the perfected form-sakes, to their approved permutations for ICVs, and to the products of the candidates. This includes all forms in both original and SRC structure. Inisfree also holds the patents to how those originals and products are acquired and maintained, along with how their sequences are combined and adjusted.
Patents which were filed or bought in order to suppress useful ‘clean’/’green’ technologies are of course unethical and void; not recognized. The patents for devices and processes not actively in use on commercial and industrial scales are not recognized by Inisfreean law. Because nearly innumerable patents were bought and hidden, patents used to prevent the appropriate use of technology cannot be recognized without violating ethics.
Patents filed and approved for vague and intentionally open-ended devices which other people are likely to develop on their own are considered unethical preemptive legal strikes, and are void in the Inisfreean territory. Patents must be extremely specific, for technology unlikely to be naturally or accidentally duplicated, and utilized for appropriate reasons. All patents which do not meet these criteria are void.
