Introduction:

Fanned out enough from the base of the local mountain range to provide space for several neighborhoods, this palm grove makes for the perfect shady break from the warm desert sands all around.  A cool waterfall streams and pleasantly roars down the mountainside from the Ridge-line Buildings Chain, creating a fine refreshing mist and at least one big rainbow.  The pools and pond it feeds in the center of this oasis is wide enough for hundreds to float in, and shallow enough along its shores for wading.  Fruits grow on many of the trees and shrubs throughout this oasis, and you will never see a camel or other animal eating them or even present; only the Inisfreeans and their guests are here.

  • waterfall:  ~200′ down the slope of the local low mountain range, & out away from its top/start by ~140′, with a half-circle basin/pool ~70′ wide

Novels Excerpt:

Lunch was prepared back in Meeris, and they took it a third of a mile away to the waterfall oasis along that desert’s back-most mountain-range ‘wall’. On fancy silver trays and within ceramic bowls they ‘samples for two’ of each of the Turkish restaurant, Mikla’s, favorites. There was braised artichoke with sorrel, asparagus mixed with fava beans, chard, pumpkin seeds, and roasted almonds, and hummus with green olives, Rock Samphire, and hazelnuts.

The oasis was filled with the soft sound of a gentle waterfall meeting its only pond. Smooth damp sands surrounded it, kept ever-misted by the water pouring down over the steep rocky face of the mountain separating this desert from other regions of Inisfree. Inisfreeans, Djinn, and water nymphs played about in its pool-like pond and groves.

History:

2022 was the year King Auz decided to start ‘christening’ and re-christening this special and less-frequented relaxation spot in his kingdom.  He will be here often with his wife, Zada, as well as many others.
