These are the openings in the wall around our downtown area that allow our highway traffic through.

Ten Ports Total:
There are five openings through the surface-side of our downtown’s encircling wall, and five more below ground-level. They are numbered, starting at the ‘top’ as it appears on the map/s of Inisfree, and going around the perimeter of this area, counter-clockwise.
- ‘Sotu Port 1’; ‘Top’: This is one of the giant, circular, superhighway gateways regulating vehicular traffic passing into or out from Inisfree’s downtown and densest urban region. Functioning like a dilating (iris of the) eye or sphincter, this port can be set to allow as much as all lanes of its section of the Glowing Art Highway (G.A.H.) through, or as little as a single Inisfreean. Because all of these ports have energy-based ‘doors’ (like a forcefield), they can be opened or closed instantly.
- Sotu Port 2 – ‘Left’: This is the port nearest the Slanted-toroids Buildings complex
- Sotu Port 3 – ‘Bottom-left’: This is the port nearest the X-2 hotel
- Sotu Port 4 – ‘Bottom-right’: This is the port nearest the Holistic Hospital
- Sotu Port 5 – ‘Right’: This is the port nearest the Grocery Store
- Sotu Port 6 – ‘Top’: This is the underground port nearest Port 1
- Sotu Port 7 – ‘Left’: This is the underground port nearest Port 2
- Sotu Port 8 – ‘Bottom-left’: This is the underground port nearest Port 3
- Sotu Port 9 – ‘Bottom-right’: This is the underground port nearest Port 4
- Sotu Port 10 – ‘Right’: This is the underground port nearest Port 5

Dimensions & Layout:
At full dilation, as is almost always the case, each port like this one spans a diameter of more than 465 feet; that’s a 47-story skyscraper laid on its side. Five of these ports are arranged at even intervals along Sotu’s perimeter wall, with another five at the same intervals along its subterranean equivalent; 10 of these ports provide vehicular access to the surface-side and underground-side of this dense urban region of Inisfree.
–
Automatic Filters:
Only highway-based traffic, plus authorized MPHAs, are allowed/able to pass through the 5 surface ports. Only subway-based traffic is allowed/able to pass through the 5 sub-surface ports. This keeps the hover-shuttles in, and all Civilian Aerospaceport traffic out. While there is no such energy-based filter across the top circle/opening of Sotu, the Rooftop Carriers police/patrol that opening.
–
Looks Can Be Deceiving:
While these 10 ports have the appearance of giant stargates, and though they look identical to the one inside our Highway Pyramid (which does function as a stargate-like portal, allowing our cargo-trucks and other land vehicles to travel in and out of Inisfree over there), these circular openings through the wall around Sotu are precisely and only that; they are only openings, not portals. They do not have the components to function as/like stargates/portals. When their barriers (energy-based filters/shields) turn on, stopping/blocking all traffic through them, they do look a bit like the glowy-blue and rippling membranes/surfaces animated in the Stargate movie/series, resulting in the expected questions and speculation.
–
Special Features:
Like all gateways and portals in Inisfree, these can be instantly sealed off to the point that even nuclear weapons barrages would have little to no effect upon them. Needless to say, when they are closed, though that is seldom, all vehicular traffic into and out from this part of Inisfree stops.
