Note from the Editor:

My first time in South America was also thanks to this grand, year-long, mis-adventure of a ‘fling’.  Going to South America was something else I’d really wanted to do for a long time, and when it happened… I was just barely ready for it.  I went, just like I always do.  “Ready or not, here I come.”

I researched the crap out of this trip, like I’ve started the preparations for all my trips, and was more than a little worried about flying through the notorious Convergence Zone.  At this time, I had not yet noticed that my calming effect worked on more than just people; it smoothed out everything I was going through, even weather and the flow of time.  Passing through the bumpiest equatorial zone of high-altitude air other than the jet-stream, I felt pretty much nothing; it was as if we were on any other plane-ride, and my pounding heart calmed right back down, restored to its normal tempo and feeling by a textbook landing.

Starting off in the capital of Peru, which is arguably the middle of the safer side of that continent, I was greeted by none other than the Muslim-ish brother (or was it step-brother?) of the bitch I was about to have in tow.  Again, he was shocking me with how genuinely nice and helpful he was, and I hope all brothers here-to-forth are as useful and mature.  He became our tour guide and networking wing-man, even introducing me to SMOKIN’ hotties from neighboring lands, such as Argentina.  WOW!  Fucking ELVES and SUPERmodels live over there!  I am going.

Anyway, I made my way to his place, met his friends, got some food at a local restaurant, got all the important intel’ from the locals, and then settled into my hotel.  I got to explore up and down the coast, and deeper into the downtown area, finding out about the bad cops and cab-drivers, but also about really cool businesses, such as the one that hosted para-gliding out over the cliffs overlooking the ocean beach (which they call playas).  All in all, this trip went MUCH better than the first-round Japan one did –obviously because the bitch wasn’t around more than 5% of the time.  Noted.

South America, I’ll definitely be back, and I have a feeling it will be to see more than one city and country –just in round two.

Poking Fun at Fake News:

If you scroll down a bit here, you’ll find another poorly-written and mindless article about a “news story” regarding drug legislation.  Details about the new law can be found here.  Why is this fake news?  Because laws like this are never fully enforced on the national, state, or local scales, so tweaking and re-tweaking them doesn’t matter or help anyone, and because no matter what is signed into law… the drugs are still being manufactured and distributed by far the most by the legal companies paying off all the legislators to keep them legal, and to keep people convinced they are acceptable as legal institutions.
