Note from the Editor:

“In the Navy!”  I’d once written about a short, brown-skinned, black-haired, sunglasses-wearing, female character whose nickname or call-sign was Navy, she having briefly served there.  That was back in 2002.  It was now 2009, and the sloppy first-version of her had manifested, though I never realized this at the time.

The way she conducted herself got me to Virginia, then got me into a ton of military bases and other installations, and even aboard several giant ships.  It also got me right back out as soon as I could, and was a nightmarish experience toward the end –which is the logical evolution of my training in life, having already proven myself as a Marine Infantryman and combat instructor.  There’s a song with the line, “Get in, get out; stop fuckin’ about!  Yo ho, yo ho, yo ho!”  Most fitting for this chapter of my pre-Shift mis-adventures.

So I was effectively in the Navy; I was getting her to and from work, I was meeting and training with sailors, I was touring their bases and ships, I was even attending catered events aboard one of their super-carriers.  I was also in Navy, since I sometimes called her that.  It was great to experience so much of this branch, the one most closely related to, and tied in with, the one I’d officially served as part of, without having any contractual commitment, or having to endure any of its prison-grade ‘chow’.

  • FOBians: (archaic) pronounced ‘fah-be-ins’, Inisfreeans are sometimes also called this in reverence to their city’s humble origins as a remote research outpost near the South Pole; it was once not a city, but a lesser complex known by its classification as a Forward Operating Base (FOB), its Firm Base (‘parent’ facility) at that time having been Base 211 of Neuschwabenland

Poking Fun at Fake News:

Michael Jackson died of a fatal heart attack?  Sounds like murder.  Wasn’t he singing all about peace and love this whole time?  Wasn’t he world famous, and loved by billions?  Was that generating too much harmony and happiness everywhere?  The media always pushes the negative stories, hoping everyone will feel terribly sad, if they can’t also make them feel disgusted and alienated.

Michael Jackson is not guilty of what they say he was, and it will never be any human’s right to claim, based on nothing more than mindlessly repeated, unconfirmed, second-hand and third-hand nonsense on the mainstream news, anything else.  To repeat gossip is to spread the dividing spells of true darkness, no matter what ‘reporters’ and ‘journalists’ and ‘news agencies’ pretend to know.  Shame on those dark beings posing as people, who advocate and continue that shameful practice no different than mindlessly believing all they are told in the fake temples called churches, mosques, and synagogues.

MJ, MKM salutes you, and everyone here hopes you are in a better place.  Your music was sensational, wonderful, from the heart, and true.  You started and raised a great family.  You even opened your home to at-risk youths, bettering all their lives, and we know, from personal experience, just how the dark forces lied about and ended you.  Rest in peace, and come back soon.
