Note from the Editor:
An elf offers aid; it is no coincidence when a tall, lanky, elf-looking person shows up right when you need help the most, and when that’s the kind of humanoid you’ve been hoping to meet more of for years. This one happened to have a nice cover-story, living in the same mountain town (isn’t that where all elves live?), with a little room to spare. We were both pretty outgoing, sociable, and polyamorous people, and we both had a thing for dark humor, racy cartoons, and weapons stashed everywhere we could fit them, so it worked well. I moved in right away, and he showed me where I could find my next shitty job.
When someone makes a room available, it is a very nice thing, indeed. When they continue helping beyond what is needed, it is even better. This elf-friend I’d made hung out with me, showed me around town, introduced me to people, and even kept me in the know about new shows, books, and events that he knew were my type.
Like my great and angel-named friend in California, he also kept helping me get laid. I didn’t even think that was possible when a guy didn’t have a place of his own, but, boy, it is. Not only was I getting laid in spite of my income bracket and living situation (and other issues that bothered me like they would any man), I was getting threesomes and my first orgies. It was miraculous.

This one addresses another decent point; most people get their information from strangers; second-hand sources of second-hand sources. The only trouble is that even if they were getting their news from family and other first-hand sources, it is still subject to The Telephone Game effect, and is always fake… unless witnessed and somehow confirmed to be the correct interpretation OF what was witnessed.
