I’m heading back here soon; for none other than the #1 out-of-this-world girl.

Table of Contents:

  1. Phase 1
  2. Phase 2
  3. Phase 3

Phase 1:

My first trip here was a grueling one made in my trusty Jeep against the clock, and I met the beautiful shorty I’d been chatting with during the previous months, thanks to the advent of MySpace.  (That’s the spam-plagued social networking site we old fucks used before Facebook, a.k.a. NSA-book.)
We had our artist hangouts (because I had liked some of her uploaded art, and this was when I started seeking potential coworkers to help me launch that magazine into print), and I accompanied her to her rugby match.  (Can you imagine a short beautiful girl playing such a violent sport?  She didn’t even have health insurance!)  Her coaches were nervous about the fact that I was sleeping with her –in front of her teammates– and had been carrying around a loaded pistol in my khakis, but I chatted with them and hopefully put their minds at least a little bit at ease.
Later, she and I tossed a few grenade-like artillery-simulators (gigantic firecrackers meant for military training exercises at safe distances in fully-controlled range-environments only), then evaded the approaching firetrucks and cops.
That was my introduction to Kansas.  Stormy was so goddamn cool.  (Even to the point that I accepted her as a form-sake, making 1 of the ICV models based on her!)

Phase 2:

Phase 2 has seen me making a few long drives straight through this state, always going north or south.  I haven’t had reason to return to Manhattan, Salina, or Kansas City again so far, but who knows what the future holds.  I’m not sure what I’d want to orient to when or if-ever I go back, but there is still a lot more I’ve yet to see.  Maybe it’ll have something to do with how well they handle farming, particularly when it comes to corn.  I am heavily into agriculture, sustainability, clever applications of natural crops, and proactively preventing another Dust Bowl (which largely originated here), after all.

Phase 3:

Home to Superman (at least where he grew up) and Supergirl (where she lived for years while working with him), I was always on the lookout for anyone exhibiting any of their abilities.  Maybe I met some without even knowing it.  I look forward to meeting such people directly upon my return(s).  That’ll be Phase 3.
