This turned out to be where I got to meet another General (who was also a Recon Marine) and many other veterans at a former Boy Scout camp.

Phase 1:

In the past, a few road-trips took me to and through this state.  The Liberty Bell was one of the sightseeing stops.  I also reconnected with a lifelong friend here during my later military years.

Phase 2:

There is plenty of history to Pennsylvania beyond that famous bell; the first baseball stadium was built in Pittsburgh, along with the first automobile service station. Hershey is considered the Chocolate Capital of the United States.  Benjamin Franklin founded the Philadelphia Zoo, the first public zoo in the United States. Pittsburgh is also famous for industry; manufacturing steel is what its people do best, so most of our skyscrapers, railroads, and warships are made possible right here.  In agriculture, the Borough of Kane is known as the Black Cherry Capital of the World.  I may pass through and check all of those out in the years ahead.

My expedition back to this state during this much better phase of life was by invitation to General Jones’ former Boy Scouts camp, now called Outdoor Odyssey, with its subset exclusive for veterans being Semper Fi Odyssey.  It was an outstanding experience similar to that of the Focus Marines Foundation ranch program in Missouri.  I continue to network with the outstanding staff and founders, and look forward to my upcoming return to this state of theirs.

Phase 3:

Gia Marie Carangi (who the namesake movie was about) and Sharon Stone came from this state, so it certainly has super-hotties of its own.  When their caliber invite me back, I’ll have those top-notch ladies give me the grand tour of everything else I am destined to see.  Those who are fully compatible, I’ll invite to come with me back to Inisfree for a while.
