This is the basics about how pre-Inisfree got built.

Introduction:

FOB stands for Forward Operating Base; it is a military designation that means the facility is a compound-sized outpost smaller than a Firm Base or airbase, and larger than a checkpoint, camp, or observation position.  Airbases can be inside or outside the parent country, Firm Bases and FOBs are outside it.  Since this was the start of Inisfree and all its later-destined subordinate-cities, and since it was also the first FOB of Base 211, the outpost that grew into Inisfree was originally called FOB 1.

Humble Beginning:

FOB 1 was started with a few hermetically-sealed capsules/modules atop one of the Trans-Antarctic mountains.  Germans from Base 211 installed those capsules there, starting the field-camp-sized outpost as a placeholder for the coming research station.  It took only weeks to create the capsules, weeks to move them into place, and then several months to expand them into Inisfree today, 3D-printing and growing the rest of it within a single year.

Facilitating:

The regulations strictly adhered to in the making and placing of this proto-facility enabled the holy King to set up his earthly throne among the people of his kingdom.  FOB 1’s protective and seminal functions allowed the Grid Mind supercomputer to be transported there, and Inisfree’s construction to begin, as envisioned and planned.  This best place for electronics; Antarctica‘s ‘heart’, became accessible and rapidly improved, then, and where electronics have an easy time working their best… so do nervous systems (thus self-stabilizing, self-healing, and self-unlocking all the rest).
