Peru happened for me this year.  I went paragliding off a cliff over the ocean, flying back between the skyscrapers of Lima.  This was my orientation to one of the major and most-likely hubs of this storied land, making it easy for me to return and navigate straight to the ancient ruins I want to see next.  I even got guaranteed pussy in one of the nice high-rise hotels.  Right after, I returned to sunny, breezy, southern California, where I got to live in a studio apartment high on a hill overlooking Point Loma, San Diego, and the Pacific, palm trees flanking its wall-to-wall windows.  I had a lot of world-class and perfect food this year, and even enjoyed a victory over an evil-eyed local.  2010 was a challenging year, but good, and the one where I finally escaped the clutches of a real-life succubus.

Summer

I met my now-lifelong friend, Eli, later this year; he helped me find another apartment of my own when I’d had to relocate from the border of Mexico up to the east edge of L.A..  Eli and I became fast friends with our shared love of art, adventures, and parties.  We drove my Jeep through places not meant for vehicle traffic, pulled pranks on other friends, and even started our very own fraternity; A.D.O..  Eli kept me sane and sheltered during this rough transition I’d been forced to make in the aftermath of my first messy divorce.  I should have known at this time that he’d continue to be an amazing friend and teammate for decades to come.
