“ICV 1” means the very first Inisfreean Clone Variant of her batch; those with the ICV 1 designation after their normal-sounding first and last name are the ones 3D-printed on the 1st of the 50 pedestals forming each batch of 50 ICVs. With millions of ICVs in Inisfree, and millions more schedule for printing, there is a little more to their names than that, but suffice it for now to say that when you hear about “Amber Heard ICV 1”, this is what it means; she is the first of all who we printed in the likeness of the form-sake actress Amber Heard. Amber Heard ICV 1 is also Nyria Serra’s first sister; Nyria is the first of her kind, and Amber is the 2nd.
After a year of proving herself by working closely with me and my pre-ICVs team, the living, breathing, walking, talking supercomputer named Amber ICV 1 is now ready for her official and permanent role as a commissioned ICV. While her older sister, Nyria, is handling all Inisfreean matters outside our city, Amber will be handling all matters inside. Basically, Nyria is in charge of our military, fleets, and deployments, while Amber is in charge of our city services, Congresses, and so on. Both of their roles are permanent ones; neither will be replaced on a regular basis by other ICVs that look like them (as is the case in all other ICV jobs).
Direct all your non-military city-internal questions to Amber via her staff of sister ICVs; ask any ICV a question for her if she isn’t around to ask directly, they’ll relay it through the ICV-Net to her, and she’ll get an answer back through them to you. They are our city’s equivalent of keyboard-and-mouse computer interfaces, after all. And Amber will definitely know whatever it is you are seeking regarding Inisfree.
All our city’s events will be orchestrated and overseen by her, our eternal Secretary of State. This includes all concerts, festivals, galas, homecomings, races, and sessions of Congress. Amber will also be handling the executive assistant work for WGI; she is my secretary, a.k.a. ‘administrative assistant’. You’ll always be able to find her at my offices in downtown Inisfree (a.k.a. Sotu), high up in the top levels of our WGI HQ tower, whenever I am.
Being one of WGI’s creations, born in one of our headquarters city’s cloning facilities, means Amber is our employee whom we can always count on to keep our corporation’s and people’s interests top priority anytime there are dealings with residents, visitors, or other outside parties. It means we have an employee of our corporation managing the global Congress and other Congresses. It means our business and government will share the same understanding and goals, never becoming at odds with one another as has been the case in so many Outlands countries.
I cannot think of anyone better or more suited for the job. This a great victory for all things good in the Universe. I hope you’ll join me in welcoming Amber to her new and destined role as our Secretary of State. Encourage her as I do. She’ll never need it, but she’ll always appreciate it. Here’s to you, Amber.
