Family Across the Stars,

With the walls of Inisfree having risen well since the introduction of the city’s main computer, we have seen thousands of structures transform from their foundations to completion. At first, there was just the earth-moving (bulldozers, tunnel-boring machines, and other heavy machinery shaping the terrain of our chosen city-construction site to our needs and liking), then… the largest of the underground facilities took shape. Months later, and entire neighborhoods were springing up, along with the most tastefully-formed skyscrapers of them all (that of our signature high-school included). At last, after all that, we are seeing the first wave of their grand openings.

The buildings for lodging (homes and hotels) and critical operations, such as air traffic, weather control, and healthcare, have opened first. Immediately following their lead are the buildings for extra storage, long-term stasis, and factory assembly lines. After that are the restaurants and grocery store, followed finally by the buildings reserved for entertainment; the clubs, libraries, museum, performing arts center, our shopping mall, etc.

I am proud to announce that all of our city’s buildings are also open for business –even the ones that haven’t had an official grand opening just yet. All our houses and apartments have their basic furnishings and appliances installed. Our office buildings have their own, as well. City services are online, our motor-pools occupied by vehicles such as those of our very own Work Horse model. The first of our flight-capable Fire Tank vehicles for firefighting and ambulance work have also been printed and staged at Inisfree’s fire-stations, along with several of our Tumbler-inspired police cars. The core elements we needed in order to have these safe grand openings are all in place.

There’s more to come, and that includes ongoing grand-opening celebrations; some of our larger surface buildings will host housewarming parties for weeks to come, giving everyone from here and afar time to stop by and join in the fun. Small victory parades will be making their rounds along our completed highway system; land convoys of our Tumbler police vehicles, and air convoys of our Fire Tanks moving parallel overhead. Light fireworks will be launched from our newly-landscaped meadows, visible perfectly well from our central mountain’s slope clearing. We’ll also have practice welcoming ceremonies spread out across the adjacent Welcoming Square.

As the CEO of WGI, I will be making sure that all the companies in our corporation have exactly the kind of buildings, furnishings, and related structures we need to succeed. These grand openings are as much to celebrate them and all of you, as they are to celebrate the successful construction. Moving forward, we’ll continue to see the final grand openings, and even some ‘second openings’; those are bigger, better grand openings for buildings that have already had one, scheduled for the day after they receive their finishing touches, complete down to the smallest details.

If you haven’t yet checked out one of these citywide grand openings, I encourage you to do so. Take some time off from your great work here across the Trans-Antarctic Mountains of Antarctica, and hangout with us as we revel in these well-deserved feasts and everything else. You’ve earned this, and I salute you.

To paradise and beyond,

A °
