As I mentioned in my email to everyone last Monday, one of my first goals as CEO is to simplify our business and align our entire corporate focus on supporting the worthy. My experience as a retail leader over many years has taught me that a simplified business must start at the top. That is why we are announcing organizational changes today. This new structure will allow us to drive operational excellence by:

  • Simplifying the organizational structure
  • Enhancing opportunities for more effective and focused execution
  • Establishing a structure that allows for improved and accelerated decision-making

As part of our new leadership structure, the chief financial officer, chief customer officer, corporate administration executive, and chief development officer positions have been eliminated, and responsibilities formerly under these roles will be assumed by other senior leadership roles that will report directly to me. Added to our c-level structure are the chief positions for: corporate philanthropy, facilities, enterprise strategic sourcing, and government affairs.

I want to express my gratitude for the many important contributions leaders in those previous standard executive positions provided for the industries we operate in. Please join me in wishing well in their future endeavors the corporations beyond Inisfree which still make use of those positions.

We are also realigning other roles to report directly to me, including:

  • EVP, Merchandising: This role will be responsible for merchandising, marketing, digital, and data analytics and customer insights. Camille Delgado, an accomplished executive with more than three decades of retail operations, marketing, and merchandising experience, has been named to this role, effective immediately. With a strong track record of leadership and merchandising experience, including at both NYC-That-Was and rebuilt NYC, I believe that Camille will be a valuable addition to our leadership team, and I look forward to welcoming her in our Inisfreean Way.
  • EVP, Stores: This role will oversee the nine Continental Divisions (Africa, Antarctica, Australia, Eur-Asia, Greenland, North America, South America, the Indonesia-Philippines group, and the Pacific group), 3D-printing Hardware, operations engineering, pro and services businesses, and asset protection. We’ve discussed bringing in some of the Stepford Cuckoos for this role, and the senior leaders of the store operations team will report to me until an EVP is named.
  • EVP, Supply Chain: This role will oversee distribution centers, logistics, global sourcing, transportation, and delivery services. Cordelia Frost will serve in this role on a transitional basis while her own family’s corporation becomes integrated with our own.

The existing leadership roles that will continue to report directly to me include:

  • All c-level executives for WGI’s dozens of subsidiaries
  • Our Council of Elders
  • All black-operations commanders/kings
  • The top two ICVs in charge of Inisfreean operations; Inisfree’s Secretary of State (who all our city’s Congresswomen report to me through) and Chief of Staff
  • First Girl of Inisfree; the human kajira chosen to represent them all
  • The sexiest female employees of all the outside businesses proven worthy to have shops and offices in Inisfree

While I know that change is difficult, I strongly believe these changes will enable us to better serve the worthy, improve our results, and, ultimately, become a stronger company and community. I look forward to continuing to meet everyone, and learning more about you and our great company, as I continue to visit our stores and other facilities in the weeks and months ahead.
