Family Across the Stars,
As you know, we have spent the last several months undergoing a strategic review of our business to ensure we’re investing our time and our money in areas that will make us a stronger company. Today, we are announcing plans to close a small number of underperforming connections as we take actions to focus on our most compatible and promising ones. This is the right next step for WGI and the whole Inisfreean collective.
This decision affects several extra-solar communities in the known Universe, and a few communities in some of the Universe’s parallel dimensions. The wind-down process for most of these locations will begin immediately, with final closure anticipated by the end of January; the mental and portal links between their worlds and ours will be indefinitely shut off. I’ll explain why.
While these relations and travel closures are a necessary part of making us a stronger company, they are difficult decisions to make as your CEO because they affect the lives of people; our associates and customers, as well as others. We are making every effort to retain associates and compatible people from impacted locations by providing them opportunities to transition to similar roles where means of contact and visitation will still be allowed. For those who wish to remain on the other sides of the closing gateways, we have sent what they need to live well through this temporary but total pause in contact, and look forward to the coming times when again our paths align.
The majority of impacted locations are within 10 light-years of a still-linked location, and almost all are within 25 light-years. In the other dimensions, however, where our Inisfreean footprint is not yet as dense, we anticipate fewer opportunities to transition impacted associates and compatible beings. We will be offering severance packages to those out there who aren’t offered roles in a nearby location.
Some of you may ask the question, “If these local and interplanetary connections are performing so poorly, why didn’t the previous management team close them?” That’s a great question that I cannot answer. What I can tell you is, collectively, these locations were losing more than one trillion dollars per year for the planet (costing us here on Earth that, or the equivalent of that much) to absolutely false claims and unhealthy, harmful, undermining procedures. If we are truly serious about making our planet and Universe better, we were obligated to take this action. Our future is strong, and I believe we are taking the actions necessary to win in today’s Reunion Era environment.
When the locations we have now closed ties with finish going through their own Shifts and evolutions, we will review their new states and consider reopening some or even all of the closed portals and other connections. Until then, we wish them well, and hope they wish us the same. Momentarily incompatible though their majorities currently are, our hearts go out to them, and they will always have our love.
