Spec’s:

  • 5’7″
  • 125 lbs.
  • redhead, naturally straight and a little puffy/scruffy-looking
  • Caucasian, very faint peppering of freckles, untanned
  • medium-gray irises
  • feminine face and figure; slender-fit, almost Elven
  • her slim, featureless, perfect long neck is one of her greatest features
  • perky B-cup breasts
  • wears casual clothes; t-shirts with text and fun/funny images on them, tight elastic gray-jeans, ankle-less socks, sneakers, etc.

Summary:

Ceara was a teenager during the Rapture, and felt powerless even with her impressive mutation; turning to stone didn’t have many uses when out at sea aboard the Leviathans.  It might have stopped her from being raped a few times, but other than that, and using it to hide amongst the statues and figurines being preserved as works of art, she couldn’t come up with much else to do with it.  Only when once again ashore did it start to come in handy; she was able to fend off wild animals, those who harassed the humans during their re-colonization efforts (though humanity, after all the hells they’d caused for untold trillions of animals in the wild and in slaughterhouses every year for generations, certainly deserved that harassment), and others of a variety of ‘un-sorts’.  Transforming at will into a stone golem also gave her an advantage when it came to construction, of which there was an endless deal.

Considered by the Inisfreeans to be clear evidence of the Phase 2 or even Phase 3 upgrades to the formerly beastly race of gargoyles, Ceara was introduced to some of both races; older gargoyles, along with representatives of Inisfree.  It was only weeks later that an invitation to Inisfree was also extended.  She has since taken up residence there to finish her education as a student at Inisfree’s high school.

Having been ‘teenified’ (or, rather, already being a teen upon arrival, having had her teenage looks locked in for eternity), as well as immortalized by her time in Inisfree, she will eventually discover she cannot be harmed, nor fall ill anymore (and not because of any weird experiment/effect there, but because the Inisfreeans simply restored the natural state of existence there, allowing/tolerating nothing less).  She’ll eventually return to what the Inisfreeans call the Outlands, and assist the X-Men for a good long while, watching firsthand the rebuilt human cities start to expand to the point that their future as mega-cities becomes clear.

2023 Update:

Auz suggested she try ‘flexing’ instead of fully hardening, so now she practices just being denser a.k.a. tougher-skinned; Ceara no longer is limited to just being in one of two forms at either end of her physical spectrum.
