Introduction:

These are the most prominent business ventures featured in our saga.  Something in your home or life was made by one of these or a predecessor-company.  If you’ve ever worn clothes, eaten food that had packaging, traveled in a vehicle, used artificial light (such as from a light-bulb), had a phone, received medical care, or enjoyed normal gravity and clean air, one of the following organizations had something to do with it.

Anglo American PLC:  (Cn) mining

  • Products: Processed Foodstuffs (such as Fruity Oaty Bars), Textiles, Merchandise, Electronics, Communications, Alcoholic Beverages (such as Sake), Carbonated Beverages (such as Blue Sun Cola​), Security Constructs, and a wide variety of other products

  • Offices: (planetary and regional offices on all 34 Tauri worlds)
  • Properties: (millions across nearly all 56 planets and 125 moons of 34 Tauri; all UAP worlds and some of the others, with plans to expand until properties are owned on them all)
  • Additional: It is rumored that this corporation is involved in some UAP black-ops R+D.

Boeing Lockheed Martin:  (Cn) aerospace engineering

Dow Chemical Company:  (Cn) chemicals

  • Established: 1897

It produces agricultural chemicals including the pesticide Lorsban, and consumer products including Styrofoam, as well as the consumer products Saran wrap, and Ziploc bags.

Galactic News Network (GNN):  (Cr) formerly CNN

  • Established: 1980
  • Headquarters: Londinium
  • Products: news coverage of events across virtually all of the human-colonized Milky Way
  • Alignment/Affiliation: various backing entities, usually major governments
  • Offices: millions across thousands of worlds
  • Properties: millions across thousands of worlds
  • Additional: Considered one of the additional branches of government, the media and investigative reporting remain a high-stakes game heavily influenced by the most dangerous players; news is required to be reported a certain way, lest the public be either too scared to work or not scared enough to continue shopping.

Interplanetary Corporate Conglomerate (ICC):  (Cn) the backbone of the SSP

  • Established: 1955
  • Headquarters: Londinium
  • Products: classified
  • Alignment/Affiliation: classified
  • Offices: thousands on thousands of worlds
  • Properties: millions on tens of thousands of worlds
  • Additional:  Corporations from all over the world that build aerospace technologies created a vast infrastructure in our solar system. These corporations are primarily military defense contractors.  Following the German breakaway sorties of 1952, President Eisenhower signed a treaty with the German breakaway civilization in 1955 under their terms. This included the merging of the American military-industrial complex with the German military-industrial complex. This is the origin of the ICC.  Under Operation Foothold, the ICC nuked millions of insectoids living inside of coveted lava tubes. The Brain Drain began shortly after. Engineers followed by other personnel were transferred to the new human colonies from Earth.  The ICC has also established bases on other planets within the local cluster for which the Draco gave them mining rights. One is in Aldebaran, and one is in the Pleiades.  The ICC has over 100 colonies, bases, and industrial facilities/plants on the Moon, Main Asteroid Belt, Mars, and several other moons and bodies in our solar system. There are also many free-floating Space stations that have personnel manning them and are fully operational, with Space vessels docking with them on a regular basis.  The ICC has ongoing trade agreements with almost 900 civilizations, and does occasional trade with far more than that.  The massive ICC mining-industrial complex includes an infrastructure of bases that mine, smelt, engineer, and construct many types of technologies for the other SSPs and for off-world allies, as well as facilitate their very large ‘Colony and Exchange Systems’ for both humans and non-humans.

  • Additional: Investing in hundreds of other candy producers; long-term bulk-order supply contracts are utilized in order to provide a more diverse array of desserts and related products via the stores of this corporation.

Raytheon:  (Cn) classified electronics & photonics

  • Established: 1922
  • Headquarters: Londinium
  • Products: wide range of electronics, most used in defense and exploration projects
  • Alignment/Affiliation: government and military

  • Additional: This company was heavily involved in the American projects based out of McMurdo Station, Antarctica.  Also, their electronics helped make the ‘by-mind’ interface helmets and later gadgets possible.

Stark Industries:  (Cn) Tony’s weapons development & manufacturing company

  • Products: wide range of motion pictures, television programs, toys, and everything needed for their luxury cruise-liners and signature resorts
  • Alignment/Affiliation: none

  • Additional: This company continues to build cruise ships and resorts, except now on many other worlds, with some of their cruise ships capable of traveling into orbit.

Umbrella:  (Cn) genetic & medical technology

  • Established: 1968

  • Products: wide range of genetic engineering & hospital equipment, as well as engineered creatures and biological weapons

Weyland-Yutani:  (Cr) interstellar corporation heavily involved in terraforming and many other areas

  • Established: 2050s

  • Products: wide variety of terraforming tools (such as atmospheric processor plants)
  • Alignment/Affiliation: private sector & independently owned and operated
  • Offices: hundreds of regional offices & dozens of solar-cluster offices (offices managing regions of Space which include multiple star-systems)

  • Additional: This corporation is largely credited with the terraforming of the majority of the planets and moons in the 34 Tauri star system.
