There are multiple gyms in this massive ship, of course.

Introduction:

Aboard The New Horizon spacecraft carrier, one can enjoy the benefits of the finest workout equipment and instruction known to mankind.  All of the machines are anchored by thick metal bolts and welded plate seams to this room’s floors, and all of the free-weights have tracking devices monitored by the front desk, as well as lanyards to help prevent drift in the event of a reduction in gravity or inertial dampening.  This shipboard gym features:

  • Croft Manor gymnastics (wall-mounted bars) and swimming set-up (pools with underwater tunnel connections)
  • CrossFit equipment
  • Le Parkour equipment (obstacles, climbing ropes, practice pads and wedges, etc.)
  • P90X videos
  • safety harnesses at all workout stations

Its walls are LCDs designed to maintain lifelike views of the most relaxing planet-side scenes.

Special/Safety Features:

Every free-weight has a tracking device built in, and can be tethered to various things; in case a user is concerned about a possible upcoming gravity issue.

Even in a gravity-issue event, everything is usually locked in place, unable to slide around unless safety-levers/handles/buttons are actively held/squeezed during exercise.

Ceiling-mounted mini tractor-beams automatically plot the trajectories of adrift barbell discs and other weights, whenever necessary, and can help move them away from people who might be in harm’s way.

Electromagnetic workout shoes, if not boots, are suggested, though not required or even recommended; this is a very reliable room/facility and vessel/ship.
