Ark Paachero:

Description

DATA:

  • Ark name: Paarchero
  • Stasis Pod Count: 20,000
  • Status: Low power standby

ANALYSIS:
Ark Paarchero has survived its encounter with the Verakan intact. It is currently undergoing final system checks before leaving to rendezvous with the Nexus.

At some point after the Paarchero’s arrival in Heleus, the vessel was captured by the kett and tethered to the Archon‘s flagship Verakan, where the kett interrogated and experimented on the salarian passengers.

Following an infiltration mission launched by Pathfinder Ryder and their team, the ark is safely rescued from kett forces then escorted back to the Nexus.

Several bits of information scattered aboard Paarchero and the Verakan as well as an anonymous message received by Tempest helmsman Kallo Jath reveal that some of the ark’s leadership willingly colluded with the kett and allowed their vessel to be taken. If Ryder investigates these threads, the conspirators explain that they used the situation to secretly learn everything they could about the kett so they can effectively retaliate in the future. Ryder can let the issue slide for secret intelligence on kett, or hunt the conspirators down and let them face justice from their fellow salarians.

Besides its majority-salarian contingent, Paarchero has two batarians among its passengers. They were granted passage on the salarian ark in exchange for turning against their former pirate gang back on the Milky Way. They pledged their particular set of skills – Scrapper and Vanguard – to provide security for salarian colonial interests.

Pas-65:

  • Orbital Distance:  7.7 AU
  • Orbital Period:  12.2 Earth-years
  • Keplerian Ratio:  3.067
  • Radius:  8,877 km
  • Day Length:  _ Earth-hours
  • Atmospheric Pressure:  0.00 atm
  • Surface Temp:  89 °C
  • Surface Gravity:  _ g
  • Mass:  _ Earth-masses

Pas-65 is a scorching desert that is nonetheless surprisingly cool given the output and nearness of the Tafeno sun. The temperature is a product of Pas-65’s highly reflective metal deposits.

Anomaly

Satellite

DATA:

  • Satellite ID: Paarchero 1125-C
  • Power readings: 2.2%
  • System report: All systems offline
  • Status: Inactive

ANALYSIS:
This appears to be a positioning beacon launched from the salarian ark Paarchero. Its systems are too damaged to determine if it was launched accidentally or with an unknown purpose.

Archon’s Flagship:

Description

DATA:

  • Ship name: Verakan
  • Crew complement: Unknown
  • Status: Kett flagship, heavy armaments detected
  • NOTE: Ark Paarchero in proximity!

ANALYSIS:
The Archon‘s flagship, Verakan, appears to be operating normally and is unaware of the Tempest‘s presence. However, the salarian vessel Ark Paarchero has been captured and is tethered to the kett ship. Sensors show no signs of damage to the ark. Its power levels are on standby.

Tentrobiil:

  • Orbital Distance:  45.9 AU
  • Orbital Period:  177.1 Earth-years
  • Keplerian Ratio:  3.083
  • Radius:  11,187 km
  • Day Length:  _ Earth-hours
  • Atmospheric Pressure:  0.54 atm
  • Surface Temp:  48 °C
  • Surface Gravity:  _ g
  • Mass:  _ Earth-masses

This massive world has an extremely smooth and flat surface, primarily composed of tin and nickel. A methane and ethane atmosphere helps retain heat.

Anomaly

Iron

DATA:
Iron

ANALYSIS:
This large iron deposit can be rapidly mined and put to good use.

Duiononasa:

  • Orbital Distance:  93.0 AU
  • Orbital Period:  511.5 Earth-years
  • Keplerian Ratio:  3.074
  • Radius:  47,705 km
  • Day Length:  _ Earth-hours
  • Atmospheric Pressure:  1.79 atm
  • Surface Temp:  _ °C
  • Surface Gravity:  _ g
  • Mass:  _ Earth-masses
  • Satellites:  1

Decades-old shards of angaran ships drift in Duiononasa’s orbit, indicating that the gas giant’s helium-3 is more difficult to mine than our preliminary scans suggest.

Solad:

  • Orbital Distance:  128.3 AU
  • Orbital Period:  828.9 Earth-years
  • Keplerian Ratio:  3.074
  • Radius:  7,126 km
  • Day Length:  _ Earth-hours
  • Atmospheric Pressure:  0.65 atm
  • Surface Temp:  -42 °C
  • Surface Gravity:  _ g
  • Mass:  _ Earth-masses

Solad’s severe storms, toxic atmosphere, and tectonic instability make it a challenging candidate for ice mining despite oceans of frozen water and liquid ammonia.

Anomaly

Ice Sheet

DATA:

  • Surface area: 22 million km
  • Composition: 68% ice water, 30% mineral deposits
  • Status: Stable

ANALYSIS:
A century-old abandoned angaran mining colony is half-buried in the snow atop this massive sheet of frozen water.
