Introduction:
We have been ‘all about’ terraforming mastery ever since prototyping the main supercomputer that started constructing this city of ours (via using its ‘tentacles’ to terraform our central mountain and its surrounding foothills and other terrain). Terraforming includes tectonics and volcanism, of course, so we began practicing making and modifying/controlling volcanoes, not just harnessing geothermal energy from their vents. This feature in our city is one of those learning projects of ours, and we have skillfully established its stable structure and cycle, making possible much more for later ‘steps’.

Dimensions & Layout:
3/5 of a mile wide at its base, and 1/4 of a mile tall, this man-made volcano feature houses (deep inside it) Inisfree’s largest night club; Dante. At its summit is the Crater Lounge fashioned out of the 1/4-mile diameter caldera, where people can take a roll-proof inner-tube ride down the deeply glowing tributary to the rest of the Amusement Park‘s ‘Lazy River’. Slope hikers welcome.

Eruptions/Activity Schedule:
We have not designed this volcano to erupt. You’ll only see a fairly-constant and small, colorful cloud made from misters, fog machines, and LED lighting. That gives the appearance of steady/routine outgassing/venting, but, again, no actual volcanic activity goes on here, and the entire caldera is just a lit-up swimming-pool, so to speak.
The fake pyroclastic flow down to the Amusement Park’s Lazy Lava River is also steady and calm.

History & Realizations:
Volcanoes are not what humans assumed; they are not mere pressure/temperature releases of molten rock that stays molten deep inside the Earth’s core. What are they, then? Volcanoes are almost always one of two things; 1) the unstable remains/debris/trash of prehistoric mining operations giants once managed, those leavings having heated up and become chemically active/dangerous over the years/Ages, or 2) what happens when a World Tree (a giant tree, the way all trees were in ancient times when the atmosphere, gravity, and collective consciousness focus were all different/better) is no longer alive/present to process all the energy/thoughts in an area/region, resulting in a similar effect to what one might see from a damaged electrical power station/plant.
Inside some, where the energy is still contained, more or less, like a much bigger, thicker, sturdier, longer-lasting version of a nuclear reactor, ancient/powerful beings sometimes build fortress/backup cities. Telos is one example of this. We didn’t put our Dante club in this man-made volcano of ours as a ‘nod’ or ‘tip-of-the-hat’ to that, but it is interesting how it turned out to be rather similar, if not symbolic, and it certainly reminds us to keep looking/checking (when we find/reach real volcanoes in the Outlands).
