This is our neighborhood of giant houses, not quite castles.

Introduction:

All mansions in Inisfree are grouped in this neighborhood based on their architectural style. Each mansion is an architectural clone of its form-sake in the Outlands, with the exception being that these buildings are indestructible.

Dimensions & Layout:

This neighborhood is one of the largest in Inisfree; spanning three quarters of a mile across one side, a quarter of a mile across the opposite side, and two miles along its long sides, it has about 27,878,400 square feet; 640 acres.  With 92 mansions and 13 country clubs (just their lodges; the main building of each, not the grounds) in this neighborhood, each one has 265,508 square feet of space; more than 6 acres.  Total properties in this ‘hood:  105*.

To give you an idea of how much room this is, the Biltmore House, America’s largest mansion, has 175,000 square feet (of floorspace, divided across 4 floors), so its architectural clone in this neighborhood has a footprint (allotted foundation-area) of ~3×3 map-pixels; 39,204 square feet (<1 acre).  That gives it, in Inisfree, ~226,304 square feet for its greenbelt; >5 acres.  With a mansion that big having that much room to spare on its lot here, it should be easier to picture how more than 100 others can easily fit, as well.

Most mansions, however, are far smaller; usually about 30,000 or fewer square feet (minimum 8,000 square feet), meaning that those mansions’ architectural clones here have 248,784 square feet for their greenbelts; nearly 6 acres.  That’s plenty of room even for a full-sized castle.

*The 106th mansion in this neighborhood is the Adobe/Spanish Mansion, the only one quite far from the rest, off much closer to the nearest cliff.

All mansions and country-club clubhouses in this neighborhood are oriented such that their viewing-side (the side with the most windows for viewing the terrain beyond) faces downslope and out toward the lower flatlands extending out to the Perimeter Wall.

Population Over Time:

Roughly 1 more person made this neighborhood his/her home (or at least their 2nd/vacation home) every ~2 years from 2013 to 23000 A.D..

  1. 2013:  the first guest or resident here
  2. 2022:  ~4 living in this neighborhood this year
  3. ~23000 A.D. and beyond:  ~10,000 at capacity

We have chosen to 3D-print architectural clones of the following clubhouses from around the world, as they, after our expeditions and other searches for years, showed us they are the best-looking and suited for Inisfree.

Construction History:

Inisfree began in 2011-2012 with these mansions:

  7. Rosecliff Mansion
  8. Spanish Mansion

  10. Wayne Manor
  11. Whitemarsh Hall

After 2022, the rest (another 81, plus the 13 country-clubs here) began to get chosen and built (3D-printed).  Each of those later builds, thanks to 3D-printing, took only a week or two to complete (as opposed to the many months a normal house/mansion construction project in the Outlands, when done via humans and old-fashioned methods, always takes.

Location & Overall:

The last image in this album shows how the plots in this neighborhood are numbered from left to right, top to bottom, as they appear on our city’s map.  Country-club clubhouses in that image/map are outlined lime-green.  The properties/mansions farther to the bottom-left (southwest) corner are successively higher up on the foothills-slope of this part of Inisfree.
