Inspiration:

  1. Mad TV
  2. Saturday Night Live

The opening credits (a.k.a. title sequence; what follows the first/cold skit) is a montage of New York nightlife, showing many famous NYC Landmarks, restaurants, and entertainment districts, with the show’s title on the screen.

Additional Notes:

“Saturday Night Live” (the name/title) may be wordplay;
it might be ‘short’ for:  (Saturday) “when Saturn was the main star in our system, thus the cause of daylight,
(Night) and when Venus left (night; the word whose roots are “no” and “eight”; its 8 interplanetary energy-lines no longer causing the brighter daylight when it was the main star),
(Live) and when things were still immortal”.

Concept:

We don’t try to amuse everyone.  This show is only for introducing newcomers and residents of our realm alike to what we find humorous.

An episode normally begins with a cold open sketch (short comedy skit before the opening theme music) that is usually based on Outlands political events and ends with someone breaking character and proclaiming, “Live from Inisfree, it’s Saturn-day Night!”

There are 8 skits per episode, chosen after developing 40-50 skits each week.

mock interviews/talk-show clips like how the Eric Andre, and Two Ferns, shows are done, etc.
