This was technically my first expedition; it was the first place I went/drove with a teammate just looking to cross a border, be present somewhere else, and explore.

Phase 1:
This was the first state I traveled to on my own and in my own vehicle. I skipped a day of school to do it, and used up all my allowance for that week on gas, but it was worth it. I’ve yet to have really awesome experiences in this state, but I’m sure I will eventually. One of my friends from here invented the self-explanatory game ‘napalm blanket’, in which you simply soak and light one, then take turns throwing it back and forth from a stick at each other until someone gets scared or burned; so much potential.
Phase 1 had me here doing pre-military training. Even as a child, I was living in barracks, waking up when it was still dark, watching tanks and artillery fire right over our heads, and learning the basics of how to fight and lead men. These were the best kinds of field trips a young and aspiring warrior could ask for in this modern land.

Phase 2:
In phase 2, I passed through this state a few times on my way to other things. There were girls to the north, and mansions to the south. I kept trying to get my fair share of both. The horrible highways, riddled with potholes, were unbelievable. You could almost tell the moment you entered other states just by how much smoother and quieter the ride got.

Phase 3:
The good and final phase is coming. I don’t know how Oklahoma could ever really cater to me, given my interests, but I’ve been surprised before. I look forward to how much better the coming trips to this realm will be.
My maternal grandfather had stories of growing up here and becoming friends with the Natives. I always wanted to hear more about this. Maybe I’ll get a chance to hang out and learn with their finest.
