Introduction:
I was checking out this area originally just for dispersed camping. However, I quickly noticed what I hadn’t even had on my mind at all; boulders in forms and groups which looked like ancient ruins, i.e. building blocks which looked like someone had fashioned them into bricks… for a wall or other structure dwarfing anything we are used to today.

Directions:
From Helena:
- Take highway 12 west.
- Exit before Tenmile Creek, and before “Rimini vicini & asocites” (yes, misspelled that way in Google Maps).
- Follow the road past Sweeney Creek.
- Continue until at/above ~6,000 elevation.
- The pass-proper is between the towns Austin, Blossburg, and Forest Heights.
- It is possible to continue back to the highway without turning around.
- Walk the sides of the highway to find the many suspect boulders/rows.
–
Details:
- numerous (uncounted by me, so far) sites with rows/stacks of boulders, as well as some standalone boulders, which have the appearance of having long ago been fashioned into bricks or brick-like forms
- all partially in the ground; exposed, not (fully) buried
- no private-property signs
- very few fences or other modern markers
- fairly easy to access, though in winter the snow/ice will make it mucky/tricky for low-clearance vehicles
- good vibe
- perfect air
- lots of healthy alpine flora
- no fauna noticed, other than birds and a few bees
- definitely worth an area LIDAR scan/mapping, as well as GPR
- likely low/no cell-phone service/signal in most areas
- probable bears, mountain lions, etc.
- have not yet found any information about the ruins, or what appear to be ruins, out here (and perhaps that just means the locals don’t tell outsiders, …or they haven’t even realized what they were hiking past)
- standard barbarian locals (down in the nearby towns and city); deformed, psychotic, unhealthy, greedy (“toilet hogs” on the land; control freaks, overpricing everything, etc.), chronically dishonest (parroting plagiarized religions they don’t understand, professing to know what god/s want/s, pretending they know everything out here (without having checked even 1%), etc.), attempting to get innocent people to waste time chasing after almost-attractive ones, etc.
- very little human activity; rarely even saw another vehicle coming/going to/from exploring/camping
- game trails; not groomed hiking-trails
- woodland conditions; not a true forest (canopy)
- breezy, thus considerable windchills during cold-fronts

Nearby:
“The Montana Megaliths” is a site not many miles from here, so it should come as no surprise that it isn’t the only spot around this city which has what are almost certainly more ruins of yet another forgotten civilization. It is probably part of the same complex or network, or at least made by the same prehuman people.

Remember:
We build with bricks that we can easily hold in our hands; the size of the standard/common brick-like rocks/stones out here suggests quite large/tall beings, or at least ones in the distant past who had the means to move such multi-ton blocks. Whether that means they had powerful cranes, or powered trucks, or an understanding of how to use sound or other things to levitate them, the bottom line is that someone shaped and placed these things which are even challenging for us to work with today; the ancestors/ancients were not primitive at all.
