Introduction:
In Phase 1, I passed through this state during my relocation/evacuation up to Montana for the first time.
In Phase 2, I started scouting its most-expensive towns –namely, Jackson (a.k.a. Jackson Hole).
Phase 3 is when I’ll finally get to return, not just able to indulge in all the best I spotted and learned/heard about, but also being paid to.

Ancient Ruins:
- Bighorn Basin, near Worland; interesting formations that look like petrified trees (but are not) — perhaps formed/poured, if not occurring naturally
- Oregon Trail Ruts Historic Site, Guernsey –probably not what they say it is; possibly far more ancient
- Mummy Cave, Cody
- Red Gulch Dinosaur Track-site, Greybull
- The Falling Block: near Silvertip, in the Bighorn Mountains –“It’s actually quite common to see cube shaped rock like this in the Bighorn Mountains.” (translation: there are megalithic ruins all across this area, so probably worth a LIDAR flyover plus some GPR and caving)
- White Mountain Petroglyph Site, Rock Springs
more TBA
