Introduction:

Ruled for millennia by tribes such as the Apache, Comanche, and Kiowa, this region became a state of the USA in 1845.

Auzdein von Himmler, decades before taking on that soul-name of his, was relocated here when his pretend-relatives started splitting up.  During the global pollution cleanup / terraforming campaign known as The Rapture, a lot changed here; more than 29 million humans and more than 1,200 incorporated cities were deleted, leaving not a single house, street, or fence.

Briefly, a temporary leader was chosen for this land.  Not many years after, though, a replacement was chosen to better lead the survivors/rebuilders here.
James, one of Auz‘s sons, is now this land’s lasting ruler.

Defining Borders/Regions:

This new version of the state now extends all the way up to New Canada (immortalized Werewolf Queen Elena Antonov Michael‘s queendom/nation).  That is its northern border.

Its western border is New Montana, which extends all the way down to the new version of Mexico.

Its eastern border is, more or less, the now much wider Mississippi River (more of a sea connecting the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico); all the states of the now-gone USA which were north or east of Texas were ended, leaving only the eastern-seaboard state which carries on the name Georgia.

New Texas’s southern border is much like it was before The Rapture; The Rio Grande river.

Native American tribes’ ancestral lands are now its states.

During the Rifts era, old/original Texas became the coalition state named Lone Star, and included some of the adjacent likewise-former states.

Known For:

  • 7-story 20-mile rock-wall which Rockwall (the town –before it got deleted) was named after
reference:  Lost Atlantean City Found on Ocean Floor? – Mystery History (at mark ~17:40)
  • executing-on-sight anyone who is Christian or fat
  • new national symbol:  The Arena of Doom, sideview, on a wheat-colored plain (reminding all returning/new Texans that their ancestors worshipped American football players in such stadiums, and that those stadiums were all destroyed except for one, and that they all now only have the option, if they want to experience such a building and event, of going to this stadium… not unlike how conquered peasants in The Hunger Games had to send tributes to their own mortal-combat facility (a successful and multi-colored farmland WOULD have been the symbol chosen for this state-turned-nation-again, but all farmland had to be deleted along with the rest of human civilization in 2013, leaving only The Great Plains… and this 1 building)
  • off-road vehicle (now powered; modern vehicles) caravans
  • old/original Texas ~half underwater
  • ruins of Texas City, a.k.a. Mega-city 3 (now completely destroyed, mostly flooded, and ~half buried under mega-landslides)
  • The Arena of Doom (formerly Kyle Field of Texas A&M University, College Station); where hundreds of thousands gather for modern gladiator tournaments and the trading of sexy females (including family members; daughters, wives, you name it) –magically protected/shielded when the latest pole-shift destroyed this region’s megacities
  • The Badlands (former national park)
  • The Great Plains
  • The Irradiated Badlands (where many of the USA’s nuclear-missile silos had been catastrophically destroyed during The Rapture) –though magic and other means are being employed to quickly remove any harmful chemicals/fallout here
  • tornadoes (though far fewer than when millions of humans plagued this region; humans caused most of the weather, good and bad, never intelligent enough to realize that) –thus lots of architecture based on bunkers and domes
  • wind farms (the big modern windmill-based -and now environmentally-friendly- towers/operations)
