This literally-colorful state, so known for its Autumn foliage, may be hinting at a lingering Elven touch/preservation.

Phase 1:

A trip or two here as a child introduced me to its colonial houses, white picket fences, old-town charm, antique farm equipment, and the many warm and earth-tone colors of its signature-bright Autumn leaves.  Few places compare to Vermont in the Fall.  Thankfully, even though I originally came here during the very start of this life during the wars-age, I was so young that I barely remember any of the accompanying tension that might have soured my perception of it.

Phase 2:

I passed through here on way to and from Dartmouth years after completing my military service and a few other pursuits.  Already with three college degrees and a number of field-time equivalents under my belt, it felt great and well-timed to be trained by the world’s finest professors, industry leaders, and famous retired athletes for the kind of top-level executive management and business founding that I’d been pushing toward ever since 2007 when I became a civilian again.  Something felt familiar about it, and I almost longed to stay a while, gazing out my limo window dreamily at the passing Winter trees, remembering, at least a little bit, how magically colorful they all looked decades before and in the previous season.

Phase 3:

Delicious maple syrup comes from many orchards and groves spread out across this state, and that should come as no surprise; it borders Canada, the country known for that leaf and the sweet nectar the attached trees secrete.  I’ve been researching the process, and plan to stay for weeks at a time –or even longer– whenever Vermont’s most beautiful girls invite me over to sample their best flavors right from the source.  There have got to be a lot of elves in modern-hiding living and mingling out here.  I just get that feeling.  If I’m lucky, Rayvan Wolfbaen is one of them.
