Introduction:

Second son of Auz and Ambi, this young man is a natural wielder of the four basic elements. He is as drawn to geodes and rock formations as his father’s father’s father (maternal grandfather of King Auz, a geologist) was, and is equally fascinated with river hydraulics, cloud types and the jet stream, and ‘fire bending’, among other related things. If ever there was a wizard who wasn’t a wizard (i.e. a man who can do things that seem magical, without having had any training in magic), it is him.

Life Story:

Conceived and born with his three siblings in 2018, Ethan is the one who can naturally make the earth beneath their feet change shape, and he can do much more than that; he is able to wield a few of the elements, the others being water, air, and fire. If a campfire or forest fire is involved, or a breeze or clouds, or a stream or pond, Ethan is the one they know they can count on to harness its element/mass just right.

Like his siblings, he inherited the superhuman strength, speed, and durability of their mother. Like their father, he inherited compersion (meaning it makes him happy whenever anything makes his siblings or other loved ones happy) and loves to build with natural substances, keeping his structures as environmentally-sound as can be. He likes to let his ‘big’ brother (older by just a few minutes) do all the leading, trusting him to envision and explain the best possible course of action every time, at which point Ethan does his part to make any construction or earthmoving needed tangible.

The Southern Gallatin mountain range/cluster is the one Ethan has been given (thus also a significant chunk of Yellowstone National Park secretly belongs to him/us), a manor of his own constructed at its center, up atop one of its tallest peaks. Ethan has been using his ability to shape the terrain around it, making it take a lot less time, money, and manpower to add its moat and many other features –some of which look like the work of ancient pre-flood giants, they are so massive, precise, and unique. There will no-doubt be a perfectly-reinforced cave-and-tunnels system beneath his manor and connecting those of his parents and siblings in the years ahead, all thanks to his growing power/s.

As he grows up, he’ll be able to perceive the whole Yellowstone super-volcano as if looking at it through see-through terrain in a video/computer game, and he’ll even be able to will it to stay stable forever, cooling and venting in completely-controlled tiny bursts as needed. In time, he’ll even be able to will the continents to shift differently, and then… even worlds to adjust their rotations and orbits, even their distances between neighboring worlds. If you ever need to stop an asteroid or comet from impacting (or to even harness an incoming solar flare, hurricane, or tidal wave), Ethan will be your man.

Year by Year:

2018: born, then watched over by his parents and their guard forces all day and night
2019: 1 year old, looks 4 (his normal aging/maturing is 4x faster than human children age; he has a mix of Inisfreean and Vampire deity blood), his first birthday being a quadruple-birthday with his three siblings in the family cabin, followed by a big Christmas full of presents including Power Wheels (toddler-sized drivable vehicles), and hikes with dad have begun
2020: 2 years old, looks 8, and starts helping his mom decorate her (Ambi’s) pyramid nearby, his dad arranging and singing in a backyard concert for them at their cabin up the slope, and esoteric training in one of the cabin’s rooms beginning, plus ‘normal’ (ish; private) schooling in a town down the slope
2021: 3 years old, looks 12, starting geology, seismology, and swordsmanship lessons, goes on a family trip to Egypt to see his mother’s secret homeland called Nod, and completes his first trip to Inisfree, the secret city his father had started making in late 2010, seeing him perform in the 2nd concert he has seen him in, his mom starting the tradition of the family reuniting for dinner every night, plus every Sunday being reserved just for the six of them (mom + dad + him and his three siblings), no phones or computers allowed on Sundays (which he and the other four know is a great idea and love)
2022: 4 years old, looks 16, and attends his parents’ re-wedding, then (on 8 July / 21 Auzdein) celebrates his 4th birthday with his three siblings, using his growing fledgling ability to make a gift figurine in each of their likenesses, as well as another two for his parents; one of Ambi, and one of Auz (and his presents this year/birthday include books about sculpting techniques, upcoming lessons with a talented sculptor, and upcoming trips to museums and sites of ancient ruins with some of the most impressive statues/sculptures and monoliths/megaliths known)
2023: 5 years old, looks 20, and his 5th birthday is again a quadruplets event with his three siblings, dad (me; Auz) teaching him UAV/”drone” piloting
starts learning about ancient alchemical theory, the acupuncture elements relationships, and subatomic transmutation from his dad (me; Auz)
2024: 6 years old, looks 24 (and since his growth is based on the vision his parents chose and together held for him, he will never look a day older than this), and his 6th birthday is again a quadruplets event with his three siblings, ___ (more TBA)
2030s: teenager, still looks to be in his mid-20s, and is now quite proficient at using his superpower to quickly reshape the terrain he is on and near –and has started taking classes at LHS in Inisfree
2040s: able to start and stop landslides, small tidal waves, small storms (“micro-bursts”), etc.
2050s: helps Djinnifer make assessments/scans and adjustments/reinforcements to the canyon cliffs and other landforms of Inisfree and the SSA worlds, and practices wielding wind in Tornado Crater, fire in the Under-concavity, and water out beyond our secret realm, sometimes with Atlanna and Thetis, among others.
centuries ahead: able to foresee and prevent/control even super-volcano events, asteroid/comet impacts/trajectories, etc.
millennia ahead: able to persuade/make the planets and stars themselves adjust/move/realign, all with stability (causing no cataclysms or unexpected side-effects), even to the point of easing into closer proximities such that interplanetary energy-connections / mega-lightning bolts don’t cause craters/damage like in eons/Ages before (i.e. before his time; during the eras of separating/expansion/~chaos)

Updates:

When they were little, they loved how their dad would let them climb on him and hold onto his arms as they tried to do their first pullups.

They go to a private school with other beyond-human children (of their allied neighbors and townsfolk), thus their aging does not confuse or alarm anyone, and they can keep their childhood friends, not having to change schools or identities.

They go to school for ~6 hours most weekdays, and stay in their family cabin except when they are working on their own mountaintop homes they’ll grow into later. Ariel makes them breakfast daily and packs their lunches.

They hike, climb trees, ride bicycles, swim, and play catch and Chess with their dad when he is home before dinner and on the weekends.

They do homework or just study after dinner, except on Sundays when they always just play and rest with their mom and dad.

Since their mom is a vampire, even though she has help from witches that allows her to be in direct sunlight, she obviously works after sunset and sometimes a bit past midnight (as it is just safer, more familiar, and more reassuring), but she doesn’t really need sleep, so even when she gets home after midnight… she still sees them off to school most mornings, and always has dinner with them before she goes to work or bed.

They adore their momma, always hurrying to greet and hug her.

Every winter, they practice skiing on the famous Yellowstone Club slopes. They’ll learn snowboarding and snowmobiling next.

2023 January:

With Ethan, I sit and talk with him as we watch chemistry and other science how-to videos, following along with them, practicing converting one thing into another, and memorizing how things stabilize and then interact with different elements near them.
He and I are learning the effect ranges of different substances and currents.
This enables him to not just wield the elements like he naturally does, but to know what will happen with the creations or alterations he leaves in various places.
Already, he and I have smiled as it occurred to us that he could use his power to help me see/feel through and then move/convert-away the sands of Arabia, and of the Sahara, and the Gobi, and all other deserts.
He and I might go on expeditions together to clear away mudslides, mud-floods, pyramids buried, even the ice of the boreal and polar regions, and to reopen caves once sealed by humans or others.
We have made our own batteries together.
I have shown him how my supercomputer (The Grid Mind) times which elements it forms from slush-matter, and how it times their release, forming the ICs –such as the Inisfreeans.
Once he was talented with the whole Periodic Table, I revealed to him that all my creations are made with a new element that can mimic them all, seeming even to the highly-sensitive / magical to be just normal materials which existed before; I introduced him to SRC –and he respects that I made it invincible, impossible even for him to wield/change.
One day, I believe he may come up with such a new element of his own –maybe more.

Regarding the Shadows:

Having my blood/will in them, my four children by Ambi are invulnerable –at least from direct attack and physical harm; things can still annoy, disgust, or sadden them. They are also able to calm the storms –firstly by calming themselves.

Having their mother’s blood/will in them, they are also un-scared by shadow creatures, at least once they were exposed to some of them (shadow tentacles) in our basement play-room. Like elves feeling comfortable around trees, these four are comfortable in darkness; at night, etc..
(*That one night in the play-room when they were being fully first-acclimated to shadow-tentacles, it wasn’t the tentacles or the experience that had startled them a bit; it was feeling so connected with their sister, Neveah, when she had felt it was too much for her, even though all of them could hear the thoughts of their mother and knew she was in control of those things. Just as we’d all felt sure would happen, their mother respected her cries and the rest of their tense/worried/’frozen’ looks, ending that evening’s training/conditioning, letting them all unwind and seek comfort with her back in the family bed –which gave them even more confidence that there was no reason to fear her or the shadows, thus their training in/with this would eventually resume and progress.)

Ethan has realized he can wield shadows like any other basic element, though his mother is, of course, centuries more practiced. While his three siblings can lessen stormy weather by mastering their Own emotions, He can directly calm or wield the storms themselves. He has started doing this to help his mother during times when I am en route or away… and she is not feeling her best, angered or otherwise upset about whatever has bothered her.
