Life Summary:

  • 2470:  Glen is born to a lower-income, working-class family who have made their home on the Core-world, Pelorum.  Ever the outdoorsman due largely to his backwater homestead environment in the rural outskirts of one of Pelorum’s new towns, he has a relatively peaceful, healthy, and studious childhood.
  • 2488:  18 years old, he graduates high school and enlists in the Alliance military with his contract slating him for mechanic training in his A-school.  After graduating the UAP‘s Space Navy Boot Camp, he is shipped off-world as a non-commissioned sailor to further his education.
  • 2506-2511:  36-41, Glen, now having achieved the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer (one of the highest enlisted ranks possible), puts in his Warrant Officer paperwork package and is approved for training and commissioning.  With a full stack of military ribbons some call a ‘salad bar’, and with an impressive collection of 4 service stripes down his dress uniform’s sleeves, half-way on his way to earning his 5th, he continues to serve the Alliance as one of its newest Chief Warrant Officers during the entire duration of the Unification War.  Although serving in a non-combatant role, he earns and holds the respect and admiration of his fellow servicemembers.
  • 2512-2516:  42-46, on his 4th and 5th re-enlistments, he works his way further up the ranks to achieve Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CWO4); the highest semi-officer rank in the Space Navy at the time.  Now a full-fledged and highly seasoned ‘Mustang’ (an enlistedman who becomes an officer), his shining record as a brilliant mechanic catches the eyes of those hand-picking the human selectees for the extremely rare opportunity of service aboard The New Horizon (an ultra-elite warship custom designed and largely staffed by semi-human clones).
  • 2517:  47, Glen, now a highly respected member of the UAP’s active duty military personnel ranks, is transferred to serve the remainder of his final enlistment contract aboard the new spacecraft carrier, The New Horizon.  He will be one of the trusted, time-tested (“salty”) sailors allowed to serve alongside its otherwise all-clone staff compliment, representing the finest of the naturally-born of his species.

2530s Update:

Completing his time aboard Auz’s super-carrier with distinction, this man has made preparations to wrap things up and return to his family town on Pelorum.  Even though times were interesting for him aboard that now-storied ship, he misses what he was used to for decades before it.  Glen might never even mention one word about what went on out there when the Inisfreeans were by his side; he’ll be perfectly happy just getting back to normal, though he’ll naturally always wonder whatever happened to the species of superhuman robots and the man who made them all.
