Brave enough to accept being experimented on, fortunate to have developed a mutant power from this, and having been impressively active from the ’80s through the 2000s, Lana has now gotten the attention of the Inisfreeans.

Biography
Wendy Conrad was born in Scarsdale, New York. She used her juggling talents and explosives expertise to become the supervillain Bombshell. Bombshell, along with juggler Oddball, was hired by Crossfire to eliminate Hawkeye and Mockingbird. The two juggling supervillains were able to subdue the two heroes and deliver them to Crossfire. However, Hawkeye later managed to escape and defeat all three villains.[1]
Bombshell and Oddball, together with Knickknack, Ringleader, and Tenpin, formed the juggling-themed Death-Throws supervillain group. The group was hired by Crossfire to help him escape from prison. When Crossfire was unable to pay them, the Death-Throws held the villain hostage. They were defeated by Hawkeye, Mockingbird, and Captain America.[2] Later, the Death-Throws attempted to claim the bounty placed on Hawkeye’s right arm but were defeated by Hawkeye, Mockingbird and Trick Shot.[3]
Bombshell underwent a genetic experiment to gain superpowers. She gained the ability to fire explosive energy blasts from her hands. Bombshell then joined an all female team of supervillains called the Femizons. The female team, led by Superia, sought to sterilize all men so women would rule the world. The team was defeated by Captain America. Bombshell’s experimental new powers soon faded.[4]
Justin Hammer hired a number of supervillains (including Bombshell) to battle Spider-Man and the New Warriors.[5] Hammer and the supervillains allied themselves with the Sphinx.[6] When Sphinx revealed his true intentions of world domination, Bombshell panicked and fled from the scene.[7]
The Death-Throws are hired by R.A.I.D to take part in a terrorist attack on London. They attack civilians from the top of Tower Bridge, but soon come into battle with Union Jack and Sabra. Bombshell, the last member of the team left standing, defuses her bombs and surrenders.[8] Union Jack uses one of Bombshell’s bombs (which he had earlier confiscated) to take down a giant Dreadnought.[9]
Powers and Abilities
Bombshell is a master juggler and an explosives expert. Bombshell uses an array of anti-personnel weapons including hand grenades, stun grenades, and smoke bombs. She also has concealed weaponry in her wrist bands that fire stun blasts.
After a genetic experiment to gain superpowers, Bombshell gained the ability to fire explosive energy from her hands. However, these powers soon faded.[10]

History
Foiled Heists
Lana and her mother appeared after the events of Ultimatum. Even with the prohibition on mutants and use of special abilities, they agreed to commit robbery to make money. Their first heist was foiled by Spider-Man and Lana was placed under arrest and most likely sent to a S.H.I.E.L.D. Maximum Security Facility for Mutants.[2] A short time later, the Bombshells attempted another heist on an armored truck, this time being foiled by Spider-Woman and The Human Torch.[3]
Second Chance at Midtown High
After Lana’s arrest, the courts deemed her a victim of poor parental influence and Lana’s grandmother was awarded custody as her guardian. As a fresh start, Lana was transferred to Midtown High School, the very school Peter Parker, Kitty Pryde, Bobby Drake, and Johnny Storm were attending.
Lana ignored everyone in school on her first day, not until Peter came to introduce himself. Lana was offended because she thought Peter wanted to see if she was easy to put out, but Peter insisted he wanted to extend a hand of friendship. When Lana didn’t believe Peter’s intentions, she walked off, but not before Peter identified her as a Bombshell. Surprised that Peter even knows, Peter explained she gave herself away due to her “potty mouth”. Lana begged Peter to not reveal her identity to anyone and Peter agreed after assurances she’s not there to blow up the school.
Spider-Man No More
Lana was released on parole under the conditions she didn’t use her powers before she was eighteen.[4] She was chased by Cloak and Dagger in hopes of finding answers about what happened to them. She was captured, but it would seem she escaped or was released.[5]
The new Spider-Man, Miles Morales, and Spider-Woman found her the next day to offer her help, but Taskmaster arrived seeking to capture all three of them.[6] While the others distracted him, Lana had the opportunity to flee but decided to help them, eventually working with them to overpower Taskmaster before the group confronted Roxxon and his Brain Trust. They successful brought them to justice with her expressing her interest in teaming up again.[7]
Young Ultimates
In the wake of the near-destruction of the Earth at the hands of Galactus, Tony Stark decided to disband the Ultimates. However, Spider-Woman decided to continue the legacy of the deceased Captain America in the form of a team of young heroes, the Young Ultimates, of which Bombshell became part of.[8]
Marvel Universe
As a consequence of the reality-ending phenomena known as incursions, Lana’s entire universe came to an end.[9] One of the few survivors of the universe was Lana’s friend Miles Morales.[10] When he found himself in a world composed of the remnants of destroyed realities called Battleworld, he helped the omnipotent being that was keeping it together, the Molecule Man.[11]
As a repayment to Miles’ help, when the Molecule Man’s native universe, Earth-616, was brought back from its own destruction by Mister Fantastic, the Molecule Man transported Miles, his family and his friends into it, doing so in such a way it was as if they had always lived their entire life there.[12] Lana, alongside her mother, was one of these people brought to Earth-616.[13]
Lana was hospitalized after trying to confront the criminal Hammerhead. Since Miles tried to avenge her and confronted Hammerhead on his own, since she was in love with Miles, Lana interpreted this as an act of love from his part.[14] Not long afterwards, Lana reunited with her mother, who had been freed from custody due to S.H.I.E.L.D.’s dissolution. Their reunion went awry quickly, since Lori intended to continue her life of crime, and reclaim Lana since she was still a minor.[15] After Lori joined the Sinister Six led by Iron Spider, she forced Lana to help them carry out a heist to steal a decommissioned S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier.[16] She reluctantly agreed, but tipped Spider-Man off when they were carrying out the heist. Unfortunately, he failed to stop it, and the Sinister Six flew away on the Helicarrier cloaked.[17] Together with the Champions, Spider-Man tracked down the Sinister Six to Latveria, where they planned to sell the Helicarrier. When they intercepted the meeting between the villains and their client,[18] Lana turned against her mother and knocked her out.[19]

2020 Update:
The Inisfreeans were able to isolate all the variables in Lana’s life, determining exactly why the experiment on her had resulted in only temporary powers, and why the ability she’d briefly gained from it was so closely-related to one of her previous skill-sets. They concluded that the experiment had been believed in by both her and its inventors more than anything, thus as its date passed… so did the newfound mutation. Her mother had held a different mindset or focus when she herself (her mother) had mutated, and that had contributed to her ability to restore her daughter’s superhuman abilities when the two were literally close to each other.
Auz, once introduced to Lana, asked her how she wanted to be; did she want those temporary powers back; to be permanent? Lana thought about this and decided she was ready to handle their responsibility; she nodded and said, “Yes.” This time, no experiment was needed; the Inisfreeans were smart and experienced enough to know just how to restore them, and this time for good, giving Lana full and permanent control of them, which she has since –and reliably– enjoyed.
Every day she returns to Inisfree to take some time off from her rebuilt life as a superhero, she thanks them and Auz all night. (She doesn’t go to Inisfree daily; this means whenever she visits that city, she sexually reunites and celebrates with its King and many of his helpers, the ICVs.)

2022:
It’s well into her 2nd year being married to Auz now, and she is extremely happy about how everything has gone. Her life keeps getting better at last, and she is very thankful to him for turning the tide in that direction. No man has ever supported and believed in her like he has, going out of his way, wildly busy as he has always been, to make time for her and come up with agreeable solutions to anything she had faced; Auz, in her books, just like he is in all the ‘books’ of his wives and other lovers, is ‘the keeper of keepers’, a truly devoted husband and great man in general.
Lana has volunteered to create the first ‘living fireworks’ in Inisfree during its next holiday or airshow, and her husband, High King Auz, really smiles about this, having accepted immediately, giving her a big kiss and spin hug. She started practicing that night. The Inisfreeans (ICVs) are planning it out in detail with her so that the fireworks they send up will complement hers, keeping her as the biggest ‘act’ and grand finale of the whole upcoming night.
