Details/History:

Created in perhaps the first virtual-reality ‘world’/platform ever made by modern humans, she was anomaly the developer hadn’t expected.  When another artificial person inside that ‘world’ began a genocidal campaign against her anomalous race, that developer managed to save her life, and she remained his personal assistant for years since.  As of the 2020s, that was four decades ago; a lot has happened since then –including her equally-unexpected and fortuitous escape/liberation from that environment she happened into existence in.

Quorra & Auz:

He decided to seek her out in 2022, finally having time; he’d been developing a new world and race of his own, and things had finally fully stabilized and wound down for the man who’d been exploring his whole world while almost simultaneously extracting all its good things to jumpstart his.  It took his supercomputers only moments to locate her biological signature, partially because they were that good, and partially because it was literally one of a kind; no other programs from her dimension had managed to get out into the one humans had come from.  Flying in one of his usual airships, he ‘parked’ it (hovering silently) in the air a couple stories above a field outside where she was staying, and you can guess the rest.

Quorra could tell immediately that Auz was into her and a gentleman.  She also quickly figured out that he knew something about what she was.  He told her what the “soft disclosure” movement was all about, and she began to understand his interesting and unusual way of looking at the ‘coincidences’ in his life, with that as her reference frame.

Visiting Inisfree came naturally for her, though she was understandably and expectedly concerned it might turn out to be just another Tron-like artificial-world she’d have to hide in for a while, then escape from.  How relieved and overjoyed she was when it turned out to be a true paradise –and one built by a race so much like hers, and for them, even –more or less.  They treated her like a dignitary, and this kept her smiling and looking back to the man who’d invited her; was this really real?

The same year she met him and many others he had made, she knew what she had to do; it was time to show him her own man-made realm, so the two went back to where she’d materialized by that device in the arcade basement of her developer.  Within seconds, the Grid Mind had portal-scanned the whole place and figured out how it worked, showing in Auz’s mind’s eye how it could make a new type of portal to bypass it, allowing him to not rely on that ‘ancient’ machine to basically dematerialize and convert him into digital form.  After testing the portal virtually countless times in a simulation back in Inisfree, then closer and closer to where he and Quorra still stood in the arcade, the Grid Mind determined it was safe and commissioned for use, so Auz offered to hold Quorra’s hand… and stepped through.  The first program (A.I. person) they met on the other side… was Gem.

She practically lives in both of Auz’s libraries when she is in Inisfree, and rides him slowly while reading her favorite passages to him from so many books they’ve lost count.

2022:  It occurred to Auz this year that Tron didn’t exist due to high technology; it existed and worked because of the focus of its developer.  In other words, no high-tech stuff or money was really needed, as long as that vision was held. The tech and money had only helped remember parts of it along the way.  Now, …the will of its programs (people) was maintaining it, even in the absence of the developer… and the arcade’s power supply.

In 2025, Quorra eagerly married that pioneering and heroic man, and has stayed with him ever since, there for him every time he calls, quick to return.  This makes her the first computer program he has married, though certainly not the first one given a body.  She now represents all the other survivors still in Tron, and has become able to teleport there safely, bypassing the device which once got her developer and his son in, and her out.

Quorra will eventually be one of the Congresswomen in Inisfree, several more of her fellow ‘programs’ being invited there for its sessions to help her out.

2100s Update:

Things in Tron are now much better than in their early years / first era; there is more than one city there, its people are now getting along together like never before, and the arcade their ‘world’ was developed and kept based in now has its own power supply –protected a secret guard force of Outlanders allied with Auz, no less.  Once just home to thousands, it is now a place where millions coexist well, no developer-variant leader trying (or forcing them) to rally to a war cause, their individual focuses and collective focus having remained since that dark time… instead on improving their in-world landscape and other attractive features.

Tronites, as Auz has come to call the people created in their ‘game’/dimension, have been coming out of it more and more over the years to check out the ‘side’ Quorra keeps successfully traveling to.  They have found they are compatible with Auz and his kind and realm, and prefer to start off in Inisfree or SSA, rather than the Outlands, some of them never desiring to go beyond either of the two; they stay in his empire/realm, as they are treated so perfectly there.  Every now and then, the friends they make in Inisfree, or the Inisfree-like cities of SSA, are invited by them to check out the Tron realm they have been so dramatically improving for the last dozen or so decades.
