Introduction:

Although one of the smallest subdivisions and wings comprising The New Horizon spacecraft carrier, the Admirals’ Wing is home to an impressive, eclectic cornucopia of upper-crust amenities.  Polished tables, upholstered armchairs, fine dishware, window treatments, and even a few chandeliers decorate this exclusive inner-circle section of the ship.  Meetings here are usually restricted to command-staff and their entourages (Admirals, Generals, staff officers, their pilots and administrative assistants, etc.), and enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere than can be found on the Bridge or in any other part of TNH.

Location & Layout:

Connecting directly to both Bridges of this ship, the Admirals’ Wing is a hallway flanked by several well-appointed suites instead of berths (bunkrooms) or individual rooms (and some of those suites come with grand-pianos and other entertainment items).  It is forward and below the level of the main Bridge, and behind the Medical Wing.  This positioning gives the most-experienced officers aboard this ship immediate access to both 1) where commands can be issued to the entirety of the carrier, and 2) to the finest emergency care, should ever any of them fall ill or injured.

Perks… or Trade-offs:

Admirals and Captains here get their meals served to them; they never have to go to the Mess Halls unless they just want to (and often they are too busy to).  They also never have to share a head (bathroom; showers or toilets).  They’ll probably not do any cleaning, either (again, because they’re busier than most of the sailors they command, and on-call even more than their Quick-Reaction Forces (QRFs) are).

Special Features:

Like most other wings and hallways of TNH, this one has its own escape pods.  Each one is guarded at all times, ensuring the commanders of this ship, and of any allied ships whose commanders are visiting, always have one reserved for them.  Their escape pods are just like all the rest in this ship; they’re just a little better-secured.

Who Might You See?

If you have reason and clearance to be in this exclusive part of the ship, you might end up seeing some of the following officers considered to be “Brass”.  As TNH is a social-experiment only between humans and Inisfreeans, you’ll likely only ever find/meet human Brass in TNH’s Admirals Wing.  From time to time, though, there will be others.  The Brass list is here.
