Details:

In her 20s when she and Auz met, this promising ballerina-turned-researcher kept her mutant power a secret even from him. At first, it was all business; he was introduced to her at a lab by one of her colleagues, and they spoke of only the speeches and accomplishments which she was becoming known for; he was, after all, on an expedition to find great minds. Eventually, she began to treat some of his lingering injuries, as well as new ones he received while working with some of Xavier’s ‘high risk ward’ students, and that was the start of their real trust.

When Amelia cured Auz’s tinnitus, he couldn’t stop the tears from flowing, and the two held each other for several minutes while he recomposed himself. She could tell he would keep her secret, after that significant and vulnerable reaction he’d either allowed her to see, or been too relieved to stop. Little by little, she told him the rest of her story, and healed the last of his ails.

A year later, she asked to go with him to Inisfree. Today, she is one of his loving wives, and helps treat patients at his city’s hospital whenever she is visiting. Free to be herself there, sometimes she even practices the ballet she is so graceful at, and once danced in Inisfree’s Performing Arts Center.

Amelia loves classical music and the freedom to heal people now without worry of persecution for her gift. In New York, she keeps her apartment and ability secret, and wisely always will. When she is with Auz and his people, though, the girl opens up entirely, never even thinking to hide anything at all.

2022 Update:

She’s been visiting Inisfree a little more each year for the past four, and is now considered a regular there. Many people now credit her with fully restoring their health –and far beyond anything the Outlander ‘doctors’ (pharma’ cartel agents/salesmen, more like it) ever offered. While she has a nice place downtown reserved just for her, she prefers to meet the High King and sleep with him whenever he overnights in that polar city of theirs (his and now hers, too).

It may be that she also becomes as famous in Inisfree for her dancing prowess; she is still practicing and performing there, always to a grateful crowd treating her hard work to a standing ovation –and their High King taking her out to dinner (and more) to celebrate right after.
