Is any of the past we were taught in school real? Did everything start existing when I did? Who knows…

Introduction:
From what I remember, I’ve been around more than 30 Earth-years in this body. I started in DC, grew up in Virginia, finished high-school in Texas, enlisted from California, and have since been to every state and one-quarter of every known human country on Earth. I’ve lived through many disgusting hells in this life, and found virtually countless examples of perfection, amassing and focusing on those in spite of all the bad.
It was decades before I realized my calling; to build Inisfree, reuniting all the good beings there, and to live as the example and guide to all. At first, I thought I’d just be a fireman or pilot, and have a normal monogamous patriotism-brainwashed life. My, how times have changed.

Two Opposing Historical Claims:
The religious humans often tried to convince everyone that the world was flat, the center of the solar system and entire Universe, and only several thousand years old. The ‘scientific’ humans (also secretly religious, in many cases; infiltrators of the scientific disciplines) tried to convince everyone that the world was an oblate spheroid, solid, not the center of anything, and billions of years old. Both were laughably incomplete in their views, if not wholly wrong (and both were repeatedly completely backward many times throughout recorded history, such as when scientists thought continental drift was ridiculous).
Why would one side claim such youth for Creation, while the other side claimed such age? Was it to make things seem pointless for the individual, with the scale of everything beyond them so vast, or at least prearranged and completely controlled? Perhaps it was (also?) a matter of perception; the religious often had much simpler, all but vestigial, brains, meaning they probably could not sense, think, and remember as often, easily, and precisely as those who elasticized and honed their mental faculties, leading them to remember far less, and see the passage of time in a completely different way. (The religious were also commonly in chronic and perpetual denial, though that can be said of many polarized scientists, too.)
It turns out the world is, in fact, an oblate spheroid, but not solid down through its mantle to its core; it is hollow, with numerous layers of cave networks, and contains its own central star. It is also billions of years old, though technically timeless, and exists in multiple dimensions, not just our own. It wasn’t created out of coalescing space dust, though; it was thought, sung, and willed into existence by the most ancient of conscious beings. At one point in time, long, long ago, it was the center of Creation, even the gas giants forming by separating from its then-very-thick atmosphere, later known as The Firmament.
I wrote an entire novel about this; it is the 10th novel in my series. Like The Silmarillion, it is a thick volume, as billions of years of history cannot be easily compressed into anything less. You can find it available in Inisfree, and mentioned here on this website.
So those opposing claims (and just about everything else modern humans on Earth were claiming and otherwise doing) turned out to be wrong. My realizations, visions, and other work cleared that up. Now we know a bit more about the real past, and from that knowledge/past… we can begin to understand why the Inisfreean Genesis occurred.
