I still chuckle from time to time at the memory of the insecure chronic-liar humanimals who tried to mislead me with sweeping generalizations about this demographic; some actually claimed that only one or two had every successfully cloned a human, and that the clone had always gone insane and died or been killed. What maximum retardation and blatant dishonesty of those insecure humans. Maybe they themselves were clones… LOL
Anyway, cloning has gone on for a very long time, as has genetic (and other forms of human) engineering. Millions, if not billions, have been engineered, and possibly as many have been cloned. The vast majority of them grew up normally, and remained alive and well, accidents and attacks/killings (against their innocent kind) aside.
These people are extremely varied; some were specifically made to be beautiful girls, or handsome men, while others were modified and trained over and over until they were the best of anyone at their assigned job (whether that was combat, engineering, executive management, future seeing, navigation, or anything else).
Since they look and function pretty much like everyone else, they are the most difficult to ‘pick out in a crowd’; they blend in better than all the others, excepting of course for the deities who can conceal and change themselves in an instant, without effort, as often as they want or need.
You might be surprised to hear that many “world leaders” (figureheads/’puppets’) got cloned, such as when they were assassinated –or when the still-living originals needed “spare parts” (perfect-match organ-donors). Sometimes there were clones made just to be body-doubles to confuse would-be assassins. There are many reasons to engineer and clone people.
And that worn-out argument/theory that cloning would be extremely dangerous because “What if your clone broke a law, such as murdered someone, and then the DNA test resulted in you mistakenly being sent to prison or death row?”? Well, there are many more ways to figure out who broke a law than just running tests on blood samples. Those who allow clones in their civilization figured all that out –long before they cloned Anyone. Duh.
