Humanity has been dumping things, by mistake and on purpose, into the oceans for decades upon decades. This whole time, all their trash has just accumulated there, clumping up into giant floating islands (some, the size of nations) where the ocean currents circle near their centers. Recently, a great mind committed to this ocean clean-up project which was launched and proven highly effective, with success forecast within the next 10 to 15 years.
