Introduction:

Auz‘s sled team of Siberian Huskies are trained and boarded in this two-story facility tucked neatly away into the greenbelt off to the back-side of his private home in Inisfree.  Inisfree’s Husky House includes everything a professional Iditarod crew would ever want or need for the proper raising of the healthiest, happiest, and best-educated dogs.  Take a look inside and meet some of the smartest, best fed, and most responsive pets on the planet.

Layout:

Most humans on Earth don’t even have a house this big; the Husky House is a two-story greenbelt-surrounded wrap-around yard-complimented custom facility designed to provide all the top-end housing, training, and play-space this amazingly-intelligent breed of dog requires and deserves.  Its fence has roll-bars at the top, making climbing out impossible, but they won’t feel trapped with all this room to spread out, roll around upon, and run at full speed.  The rooftop patio is shaded from direct sunlight and stocked with anchored training-aids, such as ramps and a tether-ball.

Inside (on the first floor) are 12 cave-like dens instead of cages, helping them to feel right at home; in their natural element, as their ancestors might have been out in the wild.  Walk-up cleaning-stations make it so they don’t have to endure normal bathtubs (which some dogs really dread).  Airlock-like adjoining caged-rooms allow them to be let out not only into the middle of the first story, but also into the fresh air without giving them a chance to run wild before their handlers are ready.

Finally, a harness-up sled/sledge area is oriented along one side of their house.  In it, they can be easily mustered, lined up, and fitted with their harnesses, still with no chance of running off prematurely.  With a double-door at either of the narrow-ends of this semi-open-topped breezeway-garage, the sled driver/s can guide the whole team in and out, whichever way works best that day.  This is a true driveway and parking space made just for such a team and such great dogs.

All Things Happen in Threes:

3s:  I started off with a dog that didn’t fully get along with me, and one that was picked by someone else.  Then time passed without dogs, and I ended up having 3 of my favorite breed of dog in the whole world.  And prophesied?  My design, called The Husky House, in which I’ll have the best and top 12 of the whole breed, living with me in Inisfree as part of my destined and eternal soul-family.

Chow:

Everyone in Inisfree is a vegan –everyone except for these people (which humans would only call “animals”), of course.  The Huskies here eat wild-caught salmon and other healthy fish, as well as small game and whatever else they are in the mood for.  It is acquired humanely beyond the walls of the city, ensuring everything remains peaceful within.

There are one or two meals served here daily.  Their frequency, portions, and ingredients are determined based on a variety of factors, such as exertion (like on long sled-rides/pulls) and recent “stools”.  This gives these aware dogs a routine they can memorize and appreciate.

Sometimes you’ll see their owner sitting down to eat alongside them, letting them eat from his hands and lovingly lick his face clean.  He smiles and laughs at this, enjoying their company as much as an old friend’s.  They see him as their Alpha, always respecting his personal space until he signals them to approach to share.

Outings:

Every day includes play and training time with the Huskies here.  If it isn’t the King leading these hangouts, it is at least a few of his Inisfreeans.  There is always someone with them, ensuring they always know they are safe and loved.

Weekends mean a normal sled ride or two up to the top of the city’s central mountain.  There they get to pull their sled around for hours, as desired.  They always return to the Husky House happily tired and ready for bed.

Roughly one time each month is a longer outing, typically across the Perimeter Orb‘s snowy and icy terrain.  It is always guided safely away from the Perimeter Rings, of course.  The entourage of sleds, dogs, and sled drivers returns based on local weather conditions and fatigue.

Morality:

It was right and best to wait until living in a climate zone these dogs were bred for… before getting them and giving them a home.  Now that it all is here, they feel happy and right as can be.  They are very smart beings, these dogs; they, on some level, can tell just how much trouble their master went to so that this place would be perfect for them and him.

If ever they are bred, it will only be with other purebred Siberian Huskies.  This is proper because it maintains their gorgeous fur-pattern/s and stamina, as well as their blood-memory/wisdom.  Anything else is uncivilized and bizarre; never mix breeds, and certainly never risk sacrificing/polluting such beauty as theirs.

My Dogs’ Names:

I spent years coming up with the right format or template for their names.  At first, I thought about basing them off of the famous “12 reindeer” Santa, in popular fiction, has.  Then I looked up the words in other languages for “wolf”, but that didn’t feel or sound right, either.  I even read about heroic rescue dogs, considering all of their names.  When none of those worked, I tried to give each of my 12 foreseen dogs a name based on a Special Operations unit (one or two units from each of the nations better-known for them), but converting “SEALs” and “GIGN” (and all the others) was difficult, to say the least.

Girl names won’t work; those are meant for human girls, plus they are already the names of many of Inisfree’s streets.  Politician names won’t work, either, and would be excessively insulting –to both those leaders, who I have never personally met, and to the dogs.  Funny names wouldn’t work just because these are Huskies we’re talking about; they are serious dogs, funny though they can be, at times.

They’d likely all be born at the same time; from/of the same litter, so the Native American naming-convention was out, as it is based on coming up with a name based on the first thing that is seen during/after the birth, and you can’t name all the dogs in the litter after the same thing.

I also didn’t want to name them after cities or countries, as that might “color” my tone when addressing or even just thinking of them; if one was called “Dallas”, I might not sound too happy when calling him.

What then?  I decided to name them in honor of the good dogs that had already been in my life, thereby infusing their names, each time I remembered and said them, with a deep and meaningful nostalgia and love, which I’m sure all dogs can sense.  Here they are:

  1. Alistair (my first Siberian, and leader)
  2. Azulita (most-striking blue eyes)
  3. Borealis (“of the north”)
  4. Cali (smart and engaging, from Montana)
  5. Comet (whitest fur-pattern and quick)
  6. Einstein (first and smart, from Texas)
  7. Max (small and communicative, from Mexico)
  8. Molly (from the Utah mansion)
  9. Trevor (gentle spirit and vocal)
  10. Tundra (incarnation/spirit of the cold plains)
  11. Zeke (from the Alaska farm)
  12. Zokla (Valyrian for “wolf”)

Pets Help Get You Laid:

Having 1 dog is scientifically proven to make you 3x more likely to get a girl’s phone number on the first try; it indicates to them 1) you care about lifeforms other than yourself, and 2) you make long-term commitments.

So I am probably hundreds of times likelier to get all girls’ phone numbers even without asking, because:

  • I have had many dogs.
  • Pets always warm up to me right away, even when they don’t like anyone else.
  • I plan to have a sled-team of Siberian Huskies.
  • I plan to have a zoo and wildlife rehabilitation center.
  • I plan to have multiple aquariums and a reef.
  • I have worked at SPCAs.
  • I have dog-sat and taken dogs on adventures, such as Cali to Lava Lake’s bouldering slope.
  • and I’m richer than banks
  • and have more ‘pre-selection’ than athletes and porn-stars
  • and have been with dozens (technically hundreds) of women, so I am very experienced
  • and explore more Earth and Space than every astronaut in history combined (How many astronauts do you know that have been to every state, every continent, and soon every country, as well as out across multiple oceans and down into deep caves, and how many of them also started learning about thousands of other peoples and worlds, making realistic plans to reach and share love with them all?)
  • and have more confidence than the gods
  • and I’ve orchestrated more organized crime than the rest of the world, making me an ultra “bad-boy”
  • and I have more ambition than anyone I’ve ever heard of, including Solomon and Khan –combined.

And if 1 dog means 3x more likely to score that chick’s number, is each dog that way; does every dog I have result in a multiple of three, thus a ‘degree of magnitude’ when having as many as the 12 of a full sled-team?

3 times itself 11 times; 12 of 3; 3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3 = 531,441 more sure to get those digits than a guy without (that amount of) dogs?

All joking aside, I did notice picking up chicks got a lot easier once I started going out with my best dogs.  All the more reason to keep them!  I was going to, anyway.

Relevant Holidays:

  • month “Mars”, Day 3:  Tyr’s-day, corresponds to 21 March:  Puppies

History:

This place was added to Inisfree in 2013.  That same year, the puppies arrived.  As of 2022, they are about to turn 9 years old.  That may seem old for dogs in the Outlands, but in Inisfree they are as youthful and healthy as ever, immortal here just like everyone else who gets to visit.

Additional Notes:

The only dogs allowed in Inisfree are these.  The only other pets allowed in Inisfree are kajirae.
