Appearance:

Her hair is brown and her eyes are blue, however she does wear contacts to make them other colors from time to time, but for the most part, to most, she looks like your run-of-the-mill human girl, minus the pale skin and such. She dresses in a style that one could call Gothic, and she dislikes bright colors, so most of her clothing is black or red or a mix of the two. She will, however, wear other colors if she has to for whatever reason. She has a thin body and stands at 5’5″. Don’t let her dress sense fool you, though; she is still a vampire even if she does not dress like one. She also has tattoo of the Yin-yang on her right and left lower arm.

Personality:

Lucine has many sides to her; on the one hand, she can be ruthless, but on the other, she can be kind. She tends to keep the compassionate part of her personality out of issues concerning the coven. She also understands that sometimes being compassionate can interfere with choices, and she did not rise to her current position by always being mellow. Most of the time that side of her personality only comes out when she’s talking to friends, and even then… she watches all her friends. When she is dealing with others, she quite often locks her personality away, as to not let random thoughts distract her. What makes her unique is that no one can quite tell what she’s thinking. Sure, she lives life how she wants; thanks to her stipend, she has all money she needs to live that way, but she will always follow the queen –and even give her life for her if she had to. Lucine also sees to it that if the queen needs help running things, she is there for her.

She knows Shifters and Vampires dislike each other, and she has met a few in the past, but the ones she met did not seem to be a threat to her, at least not that she knew off. Her dealings with them where brief, but she was able to get a reading on the status of their kind even if the information she acquired was small.

Abilities:

Fangs: Luci has two retractable fangs where her canines use to be. These fangs can slide up into her mouth like a snake so she is able to blend in with humans.
Stealth: She able to hide in the shadows and remain there undetected unless someone shines light directly at her.
Agility: She moves faster than the normal human.
Immortal: Only stopping her heart or decapitating her can kill her. Immune to all other diseases.
Fast Healing: She can heal quickly, which is why it’s impossible to kill her any other way than stopping her heart, or removing her head. A bullet to the stomach will heal within seconds.
Charms: All vampires have the ability to charm others. Humans are more susceptible, but all races can fall to the allure of the vampire. Once under the charm, they are more likely to do as the vampire wishes. Gliding :
Due to the agility vampires also have the ability to jump great heights. Even the most agile of vampires cannot jump higher than fifty feet, and such a jump takes a lot of energy. They can also stick landings very well, seeming to use magic in order to prevent the damage it might do to their legs or body.
Enhanced Senses: A vampire’s senses such as sight, smell, sound, and taste are amplified from that of a human.

Weaknesses:

Vampire’s biggest weaknesses are obviously stakes or decapitation. Fire is their next biggest weakness; while it won’t kill them, it will leave them in immense pain until they can put it out. After the fire has been removed, the vampires feel weakened for 24 hours. Sunlight leaves them feeling weaker, but it does not always harm them. Their abilities will be less defined in the sunlight.

Without blood, a vampire will die. A month without a single drop will kill them. (At least… that’s what they’ve been told, thus… it is what their minds manifest. Must have been designed that way to help manage them…)

History:

Lucine was once a child like every other vampire past and present; her childhood was nothing special. Her father worked alongside her mother, so she barely saw him; he was almost always overseas. This was because he was a sailor and was always on the seas, or on missions that took him to places such as France. He did return home from time to time, but it was usually only Lucine and her mother there. Her mother was always around to talk to and take care of her. Lucine had been in Ireland for most of her life up until she reached teenhood. She had always dreamed of leaving, but found herself stuck in the farmer’s life, needing to help her mother tending their farm. That was until she was offered a chance; to work under a noblewoman in the Irish courts which, thanks to her work ethics and keen intuition, quickly landed her a place as a servant in King Henry VIII’s court. Those courts were hard on her because of her very different heritage, but she fought back and stood proudly, which caught James’s eye.

At the time, James was living in King Henry’s court as a diplomat from Portugal. James never really spoke to her as a human, as he was a nobleman and a diplomat, and Lucine was regarded as being beneath him. However, James took interest in her spirit and followed her closely. As it turned out, Lucine took her work very seriously, however even her spirit was not immune to Henry’s sultry court lifestyle, and she quickly became entangled in the affections of that young nobleman. When she was eventually discovered, and due to her heritage, she fell hard and fast, even taking the blame for a crime that she had not committed.

The crime in question was that the young nobleman she had feelings for had enemies of the court, and, of course, Lucine was just a maid, so it made her the perfect scapegoat if they wanted to make the nobleman disappear. Sadly, that’s exactly what happened. Lucine had agreed to meet the young man in a small inn, but when she arrived she found him dead. Little did she know that the local guards were already close behind her. She tried to run but the ones who had killed the young man made sure that her name and likeness was linked to the murder. She was sentenced to beheading, and not long after, she was imprisoned, and all she began to feel was regret for the life he had now wasted. When it was time to meet the the block, she fought madly, and when she looked at the man with the ax waiting for her, she couldn’t help but think that she had seen that man before. She just could not recall from where…

Then the world went black. This was not the end, however, as she awoke not in heaven or hell… but in the living-room in an expensive manor, with that same executioner sitting in the chair opposite, grinning at her like the devil. The man revealed himself to be a diplomat by the name of James, and that he had saved her from certain doom. In return for this kindness, James only asked for a week with her; he wanted to learn about her life and aspiration. So… Lucine agreed.

A week had passed and nothing really changed; James was pleasant enough but strange and secretive, as he told Lucine nothing about himself in return for the information given. She spent the week keeping the manor clean and tidy, and when that week was over, James came to her and told him she could leave… but not before he revealed the most frightening and exciting truth. James was a vampire, and he could give the blessing of immortality to her… if she wanted it.

She asked him why he was in English courts, and he simply responded with that he had friends who needed certain goods and information which only he could acquire. Hence, he was present there around the time of her death. She, of course, was terrified by the creature’s fangs, and she ran. After running endlessly through the night, however, she found herself returning to that same mansion, drawn by the lure of power and immortality.

It took more than one attempt for the initial ‘infection’ to take hold, and even then there was no way knowing if she would turn or not. Not long thereafter, though, she started to show signs of the turning, and days after… she was a vampire. After her turning, she learned the basics from her great master; that took a couple more weeks, and after? She left to travel the world, just as she had wanted to ever since her days on the Irish farm. She reveled in her new power, and used it to experience the finest things in life.

After spending most of that new life exploring the world and learning more about what she had become, she heard rumors of a vampire coven of sorts which was located in San Francisco. By this time, it was present day. At first, Luci wanted to stay away, but something was pulling her toward that city; it felt like she needed to do something there, but she had no idea what. She arrived in the city the day after the supernaturals came out. She did not believe it at first; that their existence was now made public, but then she checked the paper and the TV, finding it published and confirmed everywhere. Maybe this was what was pulling her to the city.

Once she had settled there, the first thing she did was seek out that coven. Sure, she might have been a vampire, but she had to search for them since the coven was well hidden. After weeks of following leads and talking to other vampires, she found what she was looking for; there was a bar fit for her kind… and even humans who had agreed to be fed upon. It was here that she began to look for work; she was still jobless, and even vampires needed to work. It was later that night that she met someone who, according to him, had been watching her since she arrived in the city. He did not look like your typical vampire; he had that air of nobility all around him.

The man offered her a one-time job; she had to deal with some rogue vampires who had stolen something of value from the coven. She asked why he had singled her out for this, but he simply said nothing. The money he was offering was more than she had seen in her life, and it instead did the talking, convincing her to accept the offer. Little did she know, this was really a test to see if she had what it took to help run the coven itself.

Later, she returned to that same bar after finishing the assignment. She met the man once again, but this time… not only did she get paid, she was promoted to the rank of Seneschal. Being that she had met Shifters in advance, she had an understanding of what was going on with the coven and the Pack.

As the Seneschal, she was given a ring as a mark of her position, along with a penthouse apartment and a weekly stipend that would allow her to live however she wanted while performing her duties. Her story really begins when she met the vampire queen of that coven for the first time; that was when her life of freedom, travel, and adventure really began, all the horrifying trials of her past more than made up for.

Her penthouse is located at the top of the hotel that she now owns in the center of the city. Luci is one of the leading vampires watching over all of San Fran.

After sensing him arriving in her city, and scouting him out in-passing, she decided to introduce herself. One thing led to another, and the teenage-looking girl then provided introductions for him to the rest of her coven’s leadership. They all hit it off very well, and she was encouraged by her kind to travel with him to his own city. There, in Inisfree, she completed the official tour, enjoyed the introductions he provided for her, and married into his big family. She now represents all of the vampires of San Francisco there, and continues to rise in the minds and ranks of her coven back home.

2022 Update:

It isn’t always the ‘slow-burns’ that last; sometimes when the sexual and romantic sparks fly from the start, it is a sure and permanent match. Lucine has remained one of Auz’s all-time favorite fuck-buddies, lovers, supporters, and confidants. Their marriage of now five years is going even stronger than when they first fell for each other, the more each learns about the other, the hornier and more impressed they both become.

Having proven himself respectful to the ‘beyond-humans’ she introduced him to, many of them have warmed up to the king of kings like never before. Ever since his post-military youth when such beings began introducing themselves to him, making their nature known to him in various ways, this has been the case, but it is even truer now that he has started wedding their finest and treating them like the treasured royalty and family they are to him. Vampires don’t warm up to humans because humans have a horrible nature, or at least brainwashing, to default to the negative and nonsense, overreacting to the extreme, but Auz has always trusted his instinct to default to the positive with them, accepting and praising them with open arms.

Lucine has ‘christened’ dozens of rooftops and other now-special date-places with him now, and they have endless plans to christen many more. Eventually… they’ll get to them all. They love each other that much, every meetup and hangout being this wonderful.

In a few more years, her kind will notice that even their incredible beauty and powers have increased and been stabilized by interaction with him and his own kind; they’ll realize they no longer feel addicted to blood or other things like they did before meeting him. This is no secret or surprise, though. He’ll explain it fully to them if any ever ask, helping them feel even more respected and trusted, giving them the keys to their own salvation, never once positioning himself as the middleman.
