A New Archive for the New Age:

Just moments before the Rapture Campaign began, one of our Outlands Black Ops forces distracted Vatican personnel while one of our all-Inisfreean Black Ops forces used our mass-recall portal technology to empty the Vatican Secret Archives, as well as every single item in every single drawer, cabinet, and secret compartment throughout the entirety of that ‘city nation’. All of the material was re-scanned, re-sealed (for preservation purposes), cataloged, and prepared for another teleportation-based mass-transportation from Base 211 into one of Inisfree’s Black Vaults.

​​It took the Grid Mind less than one second to read, understand, and find the errors in all of those materials. Today, all of those materials are no longer kept locked away for only the brief browsing by religious fanatics who refuse to put them to good use.  Instead, all of those materials, now the property of Inisfree, are constantly used to improve Inisfreean technologies and quality-of-life. Because Inisfree utilized supercomputer technology so perfectly, the millennia of scientific repression by religions has not only been undone (Inisfreean studies of all of these materials once locked up under the Vatican have helped accelerate and stabilize our scientific advancement to the point of seeming like magic and the powers of the gods), we have also more than made up for lost time; Inisfree and all of its guests live a life where few things are beyond their understanding and capabilities.  All of the scientific wisdom that was once hunted down, shamed, demonized, and locked up… has all come back into the light, as it were, and the supercomputers that are all Inisfreean brains… are processing, thinking about, and improving upon it all at a rate few Outlanders can even imagine.

Further Notes:

The few religious humans allowed to survive the Rapture Campaign, except for those from Texas, are forced to compete in gladiatorial tournaments to the death in the modified remains of the world-capital of one of the three Abrahamic death-cults (the three death-obsessed parasitic belief systems being Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, all of which killed off 100% of their members, and tried to kill off 100% of everyone else, teaching that everyone was required to die, and that anyone who did not die was evil even though all they were doing was living; death-cults, as plain as day).  Ironically, they are continuing to honor the main tradition of their religions; they are continuing to serve only death by killing and being killed.  The key difference here is that they are no longer able to infect others with their death-obsession; they can only turn on each other and themselves while in this perfectly controlled environment, thus even death itself, and the last few obsessions with it, meet their end here, dying because of themselves, no longer able to spread mortality in all its hideous forms.  The wise Inisfreeans finished them all off by giving them the purest form of what they wanted and were preaching.

• no modern weapons are allowed here, including even crossbows and catapults
• the longest-range weapon allowed is the basic bow-&-arrow
• no animals other than humans are allowed in this facility; only humans may compete and harm each other
• matches may be between two people and two sides, or up to thousands of people and just as many sides; chaos is permitted here, and no referees enforce rules on the ‘field’
• an extensive perimeter prevents escape
• an invisible forcefield dome prevents unauthorized entry and exit of players and shrapnel
• the surrounding lands of Rome are an un-survivable scorching wasteland, with ~50% of Italy now underwater, and the rest just a long diagonal island of swept-away remains
• anyone who subscribed to the modern human religions, and who was left alive in the wake of the Rapture Campaign, must fend for themselves in the city-less wilds of the new Earth, and are easily detected (even in deep caves), and routinely captured by airships, then brought here to compete (sometimes without any training or even instruction)
• there is no stadium seating here to lock spectators into, so everyone just runs around within the bulging triangular perimeter wall of the property, trying to avoid the Basilica and Square where cover is scarce and death is certain
• males and ugly females are the competitors, and are allowed to wear simple military fatigues or similar garments, but no winners are necessary or hoped for, and these competitors are housed and imprisoned in the campus’s many smaller buildings
• attractive females are housed and imprisoned in the Belvedere Casino; this building is used as the Girl Kennels and brothel now, and the only time these females get to leave is to help incoming competitors clean up the aftermath across the Vatican floors and lawns (they are not allowed to be cheerleaders or even passing eye-candy, as it would be too dangerous for them around the nearly constant melee)

What about the Jews and Muslims?  Where are their equivalents of this arena?

• Jews based themselves out of three places after World War 2; New York (where their flawed-&-primitive paper-based monetary system had the greatest influence), Hollywood (where their infighting-based propaganda-&-destabilization system had the greatest influence), and Israel (where their assassins, such as the Kidon Mossad, continued their people’s ancient tradition of traveling far and wide to kill people for their beliefs and harmless teachings, always spying, always intruding, always interfering, always murdering, just like so many humans of nearly all the human religions always did).  All three of those places were completely destroyed, to the extent that not even the foundations of buildings buried under the sand remained, and even the major landforms and coastlines looked completely unrecognizable.  None of those places had a building or complex like the Vatican, and even the skyscrapers of New York would have been ineffective structures to repurpose as arenas.
• Muslims based themselves out of three places, too; Dubai (where their own flawed-&-primitive oil-based monetary-system had the greatest influence), Mecca (where their own infighting-based micro-management-&-destabilization system had the greatest influence), and the northern and western suburbs of Detroit; Dearborn out to Hamtramck (where they had their greatest anchor in the fully corrupted superpower once known simply as ‘America’).  All three of those places were also completely destroyed; nothing of them remains, not even the Kaaba; the black stone in the cube at Mecca, the Muslim’s equivalent of the Vatican.  Though the Grand Mosque around the Kaaba at Mecca would have made a very effective arena, the Vatican had been built first, and had caused more harm to humanity over additional centuries, so it was the obvious choice to repurpose; Mecca was only superfluous and redundant.

Summary:

Those humans still alive on Earth after the Rapture, who are ugly and who offended the Inisfreeans or their allies, are forced to compete, often to the death, here.  Those who are physically-attractive, yet who chose to offend the Inisfreeans or their allies, instead are sent to compete to the death in the Vatican II, which is located deep inside Inisfreean territory.
