Introduction:

Contrary to popular belief, at least around Auz and the Inisfreeans, Lamia is a very lovable and comely woman. She represents many of the ‘demons’ of Earth when visiting Inisfree. A lot has also happened since the time when the mythology about her was written; she is a different person now, much more eclectic and balanced.

The Truth:

Here is what the fragments of ‘history’ tell us about the beliefs regarding this woman:

Lamia was rumored to be a child-devouring sea-monster or night-haunting daemon. She was a daughter of Poseidon and mother of the monsters Skylla (Scylla) and Akheilos (Acheilus, the Shark).
Lamia was originally a Libyan queen loved by Zeus. When his jealous wife Hera learned of their affair, she stole away Lamia’s children, and the woman (Lamia), driven mad with grief, tore out her own eyes. Zeus then transformed her (Lamia) into a monster, allowing her to exact revenge by devouring the children of others.
Lamia was often described as a bogeyman; a night-haunting daemon which preyed on children. She was sometimes pluralized into a host of ghostly, vampiric Lamiai (Lamiae).
Lamia was no doubt first envisaged, however, as a sea-monster, for she was a daughter of Poseidon and her name is simply the ancient Greek word for a large, dangerous, lone shark. She was probably identified with the sea-goddess Keto (Ceto), for both are described as the mother of the monstrous Skylla. Her other child, Akheilos “the lipless one”, was transformed into a small shark by Aphrodite.

All of that is just more of humanity’s same old song and dance; default-negativity, fear-porn, torture-porn, and insulting the gods.

So what really happened? Who is this storied woman?

She was so good at being sexy, she earned the attraction and time of Zeus (and many other gods –and goddesses).
One of Zeus’s many wives; Hera, became interested, wanting to experience her sexiness as intimately as Zeus had been.
Hera asked Zeus to introduce her to Lamia, and after some discussion… he did.
The three had their first threesome, and it went very well. After that, Hera started arranging sex-dates/hangouts with Lamia on her own, very happy that she had mastered her sexiness and shared it with her beloved husband, whom deserved as much.
Lamia loved Hera so much… that she started letting Hera babysit her children when she was on more sex-dates with Zeus.
As people born in a much-previous Age, they had the power to move through the ocean as easily as humans today move through the air when walking on the land. She was also able, for that same reason (when she was born, and from whom), to shapeshift into various things –such as a shark, which she sometimes did, but only due to how well they always move through the water.
Humans heard of her abilities and affairs, grew jealous like insecure humans always do, and twisted the whole story.
They grew especially enraged when she started sharing her sexiness with their own kind; humans hate it when people are good to their youths, teaching them useful things, and sharing love with them.
In a typical lame human attempt to terrorize, traumatize, and scare people away from all truths, medicines, and goodness, they warned everyone about Lamia –but only those who’d accepted the Corruptor/Fear into their hearts believed the nonsense/propaganda; Lamia continued to interact with humans, but from then on in secret, only with those who could tell from her looks, expression, and vibe… that she was just a loving woman from another time.

2020 Update:

Lamia sensed Auz learning about her shortly after he completed his Rapture Campaign. She began meeting him in his mind to see what he was really all about, and sometimes walking close by, “orbiting” him to get a feel for his vibe in person… and then to bask in it, finding she adored the thing. Since the 2020s, she’s become a regular at his house, and often goes on dates with him to the Shibuyas district of Sotu, as well as down into Inisfree’s many clubs and Underway, always showing off for him what she can do.

Considered a demon, and certainly long-lived enough to have met and mingled with some of them, she already knew female demon hotties such as Catalypse.

She gets along well with High Queen Ambi, First Girl Sarah, and even Ambi’s “dark” “half” (other side/personality/embodiment). Like them, she has had her fair share of rough chapters and pre-judgment in her life. That will also help her get along with Tempest and other demonized by the humans who’ve plagued them all.

For the next several years, she’ll be chatting with many of them about her true life-story, why humans actually demonized demons, and how Auz and his alliance/s can reunite with those who were once regarded/beloved as deities and Angels like anyone else. (This will often be done in the company of aroused and eager nymphs (such as Lillian and Melina), by the way, and of course; she is always in-keeping with the timeless, purer, holistic way of the ancients, and sharing nymph-levels of love always helps the pure and ancients/timeless think.) With her exclusive knowledge of many of the aspects of angelic, deity, and demonic life/needs, she’s another perfect addition to Inisfree’s guest-list.

2022:

Still very new to Inisfree, she is taking her sweet time getting to know it and everyone who has started going there. Demons are Angels, after all; they live essentially forever, immune to just about everything, so there is no reason for them to hurry, their preference always being to take their time –at least when no slaying of evildoers is needed. It will be several more decades before she makes anything truly finalized, official, though she already regards many of them –especially Auz– as her extended family.

Whenever she and Auz have time, she shows him one or two more wonderful things she or others of her kind can do. This is often done during their trips or dates together. Sometimes she waits until they are in the middle of making love, making the reveals that much more interesting and memorable.

2167:

This year, she joined the top council in all of Inisfree (and all of the Omniverse). Why wait nearly a century and a half? Why not? She is an Angel living forever –and pioneer Angels (a.k.a. Demons) like her already have a lot they are/feel tasked with. (That, and she knew he would never give up her destined seat in that special penthouse boardroom, anyway. Not a chance.)
