Introduction:

A breakaway civilization is just what it sounds like; at some point, a group of people established a colony and it grew into a full civilization, gaining self-sufficiency and sovereignty.  Earth‘s modern public has been being slowly prepared over the last few decades for the reality that many breakaway civilizations have already begun.  Those who are receptive to them are already being recruited as the next waves of colonists, support, and tourists.

Ancient Past:

  • ~1/3 of the Angels (sort of; not in the made-up Fall from Grace some humans lied about, but as pioneers similar to how exceptional the members of Starfleet were)
  • some worlds, such as when Earth’s prehistoric much-thicker atmosphere (Firmament) split to start the formation of Uranus, etc.
  • Atlanteans in the caves of Brazil
  • Drow
  • Dwarves
  • Easter Island giants (inspiration of the Moai of the Rapa Nui)
  • Eldar (and the Craftworlds that explored farther than intended)
  • Inner Earth Council (a network of many of the ~100 known underground cities)
  • Omega Group (predominantly under Turkey and on Venus, details here)
  • proto-Pleiadians (from the Lyrans)
  • Seiliu
  • Si-Te-Cah (a.k.a. Saiduka or Sai’i)
  • surface Naga
  • Telosians (of Lemuria)
  • Thanagarians (from their oppressors; the false deities known as The Old Ones)
  • those of the Vimanas of pre-India
  • Vril-ya
  • and it is possible that all current races are descendants and breakaway-civilizations from the Lyrans

Pre-1800s:

  • Aevendrow
  • Hav-Musuvs of the Panamint Mountains
  • Lorendrow
  • Pleiadian factions (mostly from Alcyone) which broke away from their empire and joined the Draconians / Orion groups
  • Tarahumara (a.k.a. Rarámuri)
  • The United States of America (a breakaway civilization from Great Britain)

1800s to Early 1900s:

Late 1900s:

  • a church-based bunker complex in southwestern Montana
  • Branch Davidian compound of Waco, Texas (almost)
  • Montana Freemen (militia coining its own money and prosecuting authorities)
  • Ruby Ridge, Idaho (almost)
  • Solar Warden; some of their personnel remain stationed on growing colonies and other facilities on the Moon, Mars, and beyond
  • various islands and offshore platforms repurposed by wealthy individuals seeking and declaring sovereignty

Early 2000s:

  • Inisfree
  • more islands and offshore platforms repurposed by wealthy individuals seeking and declaring sovereignty
  • Liberland

Additional Notes:

Breakaway civilizations happen all the time, and can be a very good thing.  Think about how the clouds, waves, continents, and family members grow, separate, and combine with others to form new and additional amazing things.  The same is true of the civilizations that grow up from our own, become able to stand and walk on their own, and then grow breakaway civilizations of their own.  Hand them off and support them forever, as you would a beloved daughter engaged to a good man.  Let them become what they were destined to be.  All things work out for good and the best in time.  To the breakaway civilizations, we salute you.  May our paths cross and align again.  It will be good to see you, and catch up on old times.
