Melian

She is one of the eldest and most powerful pre-Elves.

  • can be any height; she is Valar (and she usually chooses to be 5’4″ when visiting Auz)
  • luminous / Elemental
  • perfect feminine figure, including perky breasts always proportional to her chosen size
  • black-bluish hair like evening or pre-dawn with starlight

Introduction and Vocabulary:

Before the awakening of the First Elves, she tended the trees in the gardens of Lorien and Valinor, and she taught many of the birds there how to sing.  Melian is a noteworthy Maia.  She has only one name, as people in her time had only need of one; they all knew each other, and were telepathically connected, so they from whom each had descended (or, as they would put, been raised/formed).

Maia… and Maiar; “ar” = to make/be, as in “are”; they made Maia.
They were makers of/from aia; Ainur.
Gaia was made by each/every Maia; the Maiar.
Those of their kind/race who stayed with/in Arda (Earth) were then called the Valar.

History and Parents of All:

Iluvatar was first/always/timeless. The Ainur were part of him, in a way, all of them existing before current Creation.  Working together in different ways throughout himself/All, they gave shape/form to what would become the first realms/worlds.

The Valar were/are the powers of the Earth (which was once called Azeroth, then (before that; in their time) called Arda). They stayed with/in the Earth to complete its shaping, and to be its life, and it… theirs.
Of the Valar, the Valier is the name of the group of their seven queens;

  1. Este, who had/has the power to heal all hurts and weariness, and whose counsel restored restful-night (which had been interrupted, and gardens withered, by the overlapping lights of the Sun and Moon in their original paths)
  2. Nessa, who was the first dancer, and who was swifter than the deer who followed her, swift as an arrow
  3. Nienna, whose mourning/weeping/tears healed the wounds of the Earth wrought by the monster/s back then
  4. Vaire, who “wove” the story of the Earth (and who predates the Norns, thus also the Fates; she is a great-grandparent of Mackenzie Vella)
  5. Vana, who caused flowers to spring up where she walked, whose gaze could always open them (cause them to bloom), and whose coming the birds would sing to
  6. Varda, who created the stars (as living beings; her children; the stars are pre-Elves or proto-Elves)
  7. Yavanna, who created all that grows on the Earth; from moss on rocks… to the tallest World Trees

* This may be related to the “seven sisters” legend of the Pleiades.

Melian served Este and Vana, and was said to be akin to Vana.  It is not known if she had spent her whole life on Earth.  All record of her so far… is there, though.

It is possible, nay probable, that she assisted Este in the healing of the emotional wounds her fellow Maiar who’d been shocked at the loss of the first World Trees.  She would also have assisted Vana each time a region of the Earth needed re-greening, such as after the corruptions of fires, wars, and droughts.  This continues to be her work and first love to this day.

Technically, all this makes her a pre/proto-Fairy; she is an energy-being, she is responsible for new flowers and birdsongs, and she is un-aging.

Melian was the Mentor of Lady Galadriel when Galadriel was but a teen (by Elven standards).

The Trees and Flowers that Were Her Kind’s First Focus:

When the Two Trees (Laurelin and Telperion; all beings had names back then, as all were seen as the people and individuals they are) were felled, the last flower of each became, respectively, the Sun and Moon, carried to their place in the Heavens back then… by some of the Maiar.  (Nienna and Yavanna had used their powers to turn those two final flowers into the Sun and Moon, encapsulating them in “vessels” –and perhaps this was the first case of helioforming.)  This is an account of the World Trees, or Worlds Tree (as all World Trees are connected to the Worlds Tree, thus part of its collective-consciousness), producing more cosmic bodies (planets, moons, and stars) as/via its fruit/s.  It was possible because of great loving women such as Yavanna (who made those trees), Vana (who helped their final fruits form), Varda (who uplifted them and others as/to the stars), and Melian (who served them in these things).

2021 Update:

Melian has started meeting Auz in numerous places in Inisfree to help him christen and tend them (which is always best-done via shared Vril; total holistic synergy, two or more great beings in full alignment, body and soul), starting with its meadows, and later its Slope Clearing, the Cloud City II observatory, the B&B Spire, atop all its mountain ranges, out on each of its piers and lakes, in each of its greenbelts, and so on.  She loves him well, and he her.  They have decided to continue this sacred timeless ritual for eons to come.

Oona, current Queen of the Fairies, and Maya, current Queen of the Pleiadians, among others, such as Taja, have started to blissfully join them.  Many nymphs in Inisfree have started joining them all, too.  The best is yet to come; soon all the Elves and Fairies compatible with them will, as well, making for quite the impressive moonlit tantric orgy rituals in all those heavenly spots.

2022:

She has started planning her 2024 wedding to High King Auz.  The two sit together very close and excited each time they get to relax and talk about this.  Some of her people and his have been helping them, such as by bringing them samples of colors, fabrics, and decorations to take a look at, feel, and then discuss.

(A couple years after this wedding, one of the legendary Elves she mentored will join her, becoming a ‘sister-wife’ herself, Melian, of course, being one of the guests of honor at that wedding.)

Her Kind:

Her kind never wore clothes –except on a few special occasions, such as when one of her sisters-of-the-race made her a wedding-dress of only flowers.  Like their bodies, they simply imagined their clothes into being –but had never known of clothes before, nor had or felt any need for them.  Thus she feels very comfortable in generally-nudist Inisfree.
