Organization:
Sometimes they are ruled by a more-powerful elemental, such as an actual demi-deity, and sometimes they are semi-random people discovering these abilities without guidance or being empowered by a different person –and the clothes these people wear vary as greatly as their nationalities/locations.

Genders:
They are always distinctly male or female, and forever -and happily and wisely- remain what they started as.
The males are always heterosexual and preferring bisexual females, and the females are always bisexual and preferring heterosexual males (i.e. not tolerating any deviation from that).

Abilities:
Sometimes they are powerful enough to not only wield their/one/an element, but also make their entire body, more or less, become it, such as those who can turn into stone or diamond form –while still being able to move their body-parts normally!
Alternatively, the eldest of this type of lifeform started out as an individual person who is a living collective/mass of their element, such as conscious water bodies who can shapeshift to look like humanoids, waves, etc..
Fire-elementals can sense remotely through any other fire-elemental or flame.
Water-elementals can do that through fellow water-beings or regular bodies of water –or even droplets, such as rain.

Races:
All their children/creations have their essence; all those whose ancestors had the water-wielding ability, or were Living Water themselves (Water Elementals), will figure out they can wield water even if no one tells/shows/teaches them, and the same for those who descend from Fire (children/descendants of Fire Elementals will eventually get good at wielding, if not becoming, fire), etc..
Designed and created just because it was natural for their parent-element to spread, becoming separate physical/humanoid bodies, these people came into being. It had nothing to do with survival based on “safety in numbers”.
Two races of the Elementals species/category are naturally bioluminescent; those are the Fire Elementals and the Light/ning Elementals.
Djinn (a.k.a. Genies) are like most fire-elementals; they are smokeless; they don’t require things to be burned to sustain them. They are still hot (temperature-wise), though, so don’t think they are entirely ethereal/magical/safe to be right up against.

Attire/Fashion:
none; no point –besides, clothing would get soaked by a water-elemental, or burned by a fire-elemental, or fall straight through an air-elemental

Tolerances/Element/Environment:
Elementals are not always immortal, invincible, telepathic, or telekinetic, but it is easier for them to become so, if they weren’t born that way. A fire elemental could evaporate some of a water elemental, for example, or a water elemental “put out” some of a fire elemental’s body/being, and so on, though air elementals and water elementals can’t affect each other that much. You get the idea; some are more susceptible to dramatic, or even temporarily-harmful, change than others.

Vision:
They perceive 3D just like the rest of the regular people in “normal Space”, but they can sense much more of the past and likely/destined/intended/planned future of fellow elementals (or descendants of elementals) if those people are of their same element.

Level:
Some magic can block their vision/senses, but when the given elemental or elemental-descendant is in contact with his/her element (such as a Water Elemental being next to an ocean), they have far more foresight, defensive abilities, and healing/restorative power.

Regarding Inisfreeans:
It is part of their nature to always understand, love, support, and protect me, High King Auzdein von Himmler –and in their own special Demon-race way; by terrorizing and torturing/damning anyone who ever fucked with me.

Population:
The current number of Elementals is difficult to estimate, as these beings can anytime subdivide their bodies into numerous lesser forms, such as a Water Elemental becoming an entire splash of thousands of conscious, self-moving droplets, etc..

Bodies:
Elementals are always mentally and physically exactly what Auz instinctively knew was the only correct way to look and be; their bodies are always perfect, the tits of their females never sagging, the clitoral hoods of their females’ pussies never apparent/stretched, their skin never sunburned or otherwise discolored, and so on. Though they CAN shapeshift more easily than regular/general were-creatures, like true/worthy/good were-creatures, their instinct/nature is always to only shapeshift into forms I (Auz) am or would be attracted to / please by.
As elementals, they don’t have skin like humans do, their “flesh” instead being whatever their element is; water-elementals feel wet, as they are literally water.

Interaction:
They are not always in multiple forms of mutually-agreeable contact with one another, but that, too, is easier for their kind (elementals and the descendants of elementals) than it is for regular modern humans.

Dwellings:
wherever more of their element is; water-elementals dwell in clean bodies of water, air-elementals where there is stable atmosphere, etc.

Advisory:
If you want a water-elemental to show up, be prepared for things to get wet/splashed.
If you want a fire-elemental to show up, make sure it isn’t around anything flammable.

There are some people who can “fire-bend” (pyrokinetics), “water-bend” (atmokinetics), etc., but those skills don’t work anywhere near as well on conscious fire (fire-elementals) or conscious water (water-elementals), etc.; it is the “bender” will against the being’s (elemental’s) own, and that elemental will always have better control over its own form/body/particles than anyone trying to basically override/mind-control it.

Scent/s Emitted:
Fire-elementals tend to not really have a smell of their own, but leave distinct burning smells from anything flammable they touch.
Water-elementals, such as rain-nymphs, smell like whatever type of water they are based on, or moving upon/through; if near salt-water such as an ocean, you’ll smell that around them, vs. if inland and near fresh-water, you’ll smell that/rain instead.

Voices:
All females sound feminine sexy, and all males sound masculine powerful, as only modern humans sound frail or nasal or anything else off-putting.

Territory:
They don’t so much patrol as they simply move with the flow of whatever guides/attracts (or repels) their particular/given element. For example, those who are of water (i.e. Water Elementals, or the descendants of such who possess the ability to wield, if not shapeshift into, water) often dance more fluidly/gracefully, explore more freely, and stick to areas where there is already a reliable/ancient source of water, such as a creek or even as much as an ocean.
Elementals make some of the best explorers, as they can go to any world, or float/blast through the void of Space, not needing breathable air, and rarely ever freezing or burning up. It is, almost everywhere, cool/mild enough for Water Elementals, even more-so the case for Air Elementals, and both Earth Elementals and Shadow/Space Elementals are generally unaffected by any temperature at all, while Light/ning Elementals can even survive inside the stars themselves. Thus, these people make natural explorers, safely able to go to far more places than humans or other fragile/mortal beings ever could –even with protective ships/suits.
