Introduction:
The hallways of this mansion are as wide as the rooms of most Outlander houses, and nearly 100 feet tall.
Beneath a Plexiglas sheet running the length of the center of each of the floor-1 and floor-2 halls is a quietly babbling brook, called a ‘floor stream’ by the Inisfreeans, as it is a creek appearing inlaid just beneath the walking surface of these hallways’ floors. These floor-streams are fed by the mansion’s aqueduct, which is itself fed from summit melt-water coming from the Snow Dunes.
Floor-3 halls have a long red carpet along their middle.
–
Dimensions & Layout:
These streams are a few feet wide, often flowing over a cobblestone-like arrangement of pebbles, and run the length of each hallway they are in, always in the very middle of it. They are about one foot below the surface of their hallways, and under an inch of the transparent material used to cover them and serve as an aesthetically-pleasing, see-through, walking surface. The water enters these streams from the back of the mansion, fed in from the only aqueduct connected to this mansion, and then flows along the length of the hallways toward the front of the house where it exits and feeds into other water features.

–
Special Features:
Though these floor-streams are separate from the plumbing of this mansion, the floor-streams on the 2nd level of this mansion feed water features such as the ‘waterfall-steps staircase’ in the hibachi room on the 1st level. The floor-streams up there also feed the water-slides out to the two side-yard/terraced swimming-pools.
–
Additional Notes:
Hidden miniature hydroelectric turbines used in the canals and other waterways all across the city are also here; they are out of sight, tucked up under the low edges of the creek-like streams beneath the transparent middle strips of these hallways.
–
Novels Excerpt:
After crossing one of the palatial 10-story hallways, its stream below the transparent floor strip quietly moving underneath their path, he led their party of three through another few rooms on the way to their front doors. There were no other guests at the moment, but plenty of mansion staff were present and looking their best; Inisfreeans were the staff, all dressed in a diaphanous black sash wrapped around their otherwise bare bodies in somewhat of a figure-eight fashion, and the true servants were semi-voluntary slaves called kajirae, each of which was not permitted any clothing at all; they all wore only a locked iron collar around their necks, each collar engraved with their slave name and owner’s name. The kajirae were especially concerned about their manners, only looking up long enough to identify who they were walking by, then keeping their eyes averted unless told to look up again. They didn’t seem scared, though; only very well trained, alert, and responsive.
